Please know, that a broken garage door spring is dangerous, and a garage door with a broken spring - whether it is a torsion spring system, or extension spring system, should not be used. Install safety cables for extension springs. Those cables are there in case one of the garage door springs will break.

The gears in our garage door opener broke and husband diagnosed it, because he's replaced them a few times in the 20 years we've had the house. This time, we were leaving on vacay in a few days and had a long list of errands, so he couldn't fit the task in and said he was too damn old to do it anyway!
I turned to Yelp reviews and used Yelp to get 3 quotes. Two vendors wanted to replace the whole motor which costs 3x more. But at this shop, the owner Ken immediately replied with a 2 quotes - one for the gears only and another for the motor, if it turned out to need that.

Unfortunately, one of the springs on our garage door broke. I didn't want to wait too long and put continued strain on the rest of the system. I shopped around and got several quotes before deciding to go with The Garage Door Doctor. I really can't say enough about how quick and responsive they were with my questions. I WISH I could give them more than 5 stars. I had a previous quote for an INSANE amount to fix my garage door. I called the garage door doctor and explained the situation. They listened, and were able to have someone come out to take a look the very next day. The issue I was having was fixed by Arturo with just tightening 2 loose bolts. Arturo was professional, informative, and just all around a nice guy. If you are needing any garage maintenance, replacement, or repairs YOU WILL NOT regret going with this company. Just WONDERFUL . I really can not praise them enough.

Ken (owner) responded to my request really quickly and before I knew it Eric was out here diagnosing the issue. Our garage door opener was over 20 years old and finally stopped working. Eric was able to quickly assess what we needed for a replacement and answered all our questions. Arturo came out to do the install a day or two later and did an excellent job. Arturo communicated the whole process to us, made some recommendations to maintain the new garage door openers, and threw in an external keypad last minute as well. Truly one of the best companies I've worked with in a while - honest

This company is great . The first time Arturo came out there was no charge just a adjustment for FREE! He said that your motor is old a could give out in 3 weeks or a year. Well one month later it gave out. I called him on Monday a holiday and told him . Next morning at 9.AM he was right on time installed a new motor and accessories. He explained everything and did a perfect job. I checked out a lot of garage door companies they came out first . Don't hesitate to use them and don't waste your money on anyone else.

I accidentally backed into my garage door with my car when I was exhausted from work one night and I ended up messing up the cables causing my garage to get stuck halfway opened. I sent a message through Yelp immediately and Ken responded early the next morning. Jason was able to come by that day and fix the cables. We ran into a minor issue with resetting the limits but Jason made sure to trouble shoot all ends and Have it fixed before he left without extra charge. Don’t even waste your time with other garage door service providers! I had major problems with garage door. I had several providers come out…they all had different solutions at unreasonable prices! Garage Door Doc sent Tony. Prompt , courteous, professional. Fixed my problem in less than an hour and at a very reasonable price! I highly recommend this company!

My garage door broke this morning, I googled garage door repair and got their listing. Called the number listed, Someone answered politely, they were able to schedule my appt within a reasonable time (Within 3 hours when I called) the tech (Ron) was exactly on time, quoted me a price , repaired the issue and its now resolved. I could not have asked for a better experience then that. I wish I could provide a double 5 star, they deserve it.

The wire had broken from the flywheel, the little wheels on one side were out of the track, and my garage door was hanging at an angle. I thought I'd have to replace the whole thing. The Garage Door Doc fixed my door in 20 minutes! They were so reasonably priced and didn't charge me for coming out to Port Hueneme! Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional!
