The sister company to Crossroads Recycled Lumber LLC, Pacific Northwest Timbers LLC is Located in Port Townsend Washington. PNT offers the same beautiful reclaimed ecologically sound wood products as Crossroads. Jake Jacob and Marc Mandel have a vision. Their vision is to provide you with the best, ecologically and socially responsible FSC Certified reclaimed wood building products in the Pacific Northwest.
Barn Wood Siding comes and goes around here. No two barns look exactly alike and the species, quality and color vary with each load we acquire. Please call for current inventory. Many times old barn wood is inconsistent in dimension, color and texture. Crossroads has developed a technique for you to have a consistent dimension and patina with a barnwood look.
Reclaimed wood floors remanufactured for you from reclaimed timbers, or reused reclaimed lumber flooring, from old buildings. The Pacific Northwest has tens of thousands of older homes with Douglas Fir Floors. Because many buildings in the West were built out of our native Douglas Fir, we receive a lot of that material and often remill Fir floors out of joists, rafters and beams from old structures.
Reclaimed timber comes in a variety of conditions. A lot of time is invested pulling nails, unfastening bolts, removing brackets, trimming out breaks and sorting wood for grade. Pieces are individually selected for each order. Just as it came out of the structure with its natural patina which usually varies in shades of browns or grays.
Reclaimed lumber makes wonderful fireplace mantle pieces as well as any other mantel application you can imagine. The wood has an antique appearance that greatly enhances the aesthetics of a room, fireplace, or other setting. As for the correct spelling, Mantles and Mantels are both acceptable.
