Peak Wellness Counseling
Depression is marked by low energy, lack of interest in activities, changes in sleep or appetite, and hopelessness. When severe, it can lead to thoughts about self-harm. It feels scary to trust others which may lead to impaired relationships, changes in mood, or difficulties in other areas of life. Please reach out for help. All beings deserve to feel happy and loved. They will receive support and learn to regulate emotions as they navigate stress and transition to adulthood.
Services
Amanda Lugo, LPC NCC BC-TMH CYT earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Northern Arizona University and continued her education to complete a Master of Counseling degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Arizona State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona State as well as a National Certified Counselor.
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States, affecting 40 million adults and 25.1% of children ages 13-18, according to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. It can be crippling. Worry takes its toll on health. When there is a threat or a perceived threat, the fight or flight response is activated and stress hormones flood the body.
Peak Wellness Counseling is a professional behavioral health practice with additional wellness support services. Private pay rates are listed. Individual, couples, or family therapy services are offered at $200 per 50-55 minute session. Counseling sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Life coaching is tailored specifically to you and is not limited to mental health issues. Career development, personal development, and total health are aspects of this type of service. If mental health issues are present, depending on severity, traditional counseling services will be recommended or a referral will be made to an external treatment program.
Curriculum reviews values clarification assessment, healthy boundary setting, mindfulness exercises to be more present in your life, goal setting, creation of personal vision board, and self-care activity recommendations. Kubler-Ross stages of grief will be reviewed. Support group will share about loss(es).
