Made a reservation and because of exposure to Covid had to cancel. In trying to do the right thing by not exposing other people we lost our deposit and with it being so late in the season we wouldn’t have the opportunity to use it this year. Asked if we could use it for next season we were told that simply wasn’t their policy. This would have been our first time staying at this campground. Now there won’t be a first or a last. They will never see our business. Far too inflexible for a service business. I definitely would NOT recommend.

Quiet campground. We booked this campground because of the water access from our site. Upon arrival we immediately noticed the weeds grown over (6 ft +) at the edge of 90% of the lake making access to the water from our site not possible. We were expecting waterfront access but got water view instead. Camp store prices are high and there is no cable.

I will have to say I’m very sorry I’m writing this review. This is a very nice Campgrond but has poor customer service. We camped in our RV and friends stayed in the cabin. When they checked into the cabin it had been very poorly cleaned and needed some handyman care, blinds falling off windows and doors and door lock wouldn’t work. They reported the issues but got very little interaction so they just cleaned themselves. On their next day after returning from sightseeing the town the AC had froze up.After calling the office someone came out and said sorry we can’t fix it tonight and we’re

We had a wonderful time at this campground in late summer. We were slightly skeptical of some of the reviews left but are so glad we booked our stay. We were a little disappointed that the bar was closed in the middle of the lake, that was one of the things that drew us to this campground in particular. But it was peaceful, quiet, the pool was amazing and the view from our campsite was wonderful. We stayed in site 30 and I would highly recommend it. This is not a campground that will have many activities planned out for you, but a nice relaxing place to enjoy your time. The staff was super friendly

Campground is clean and well kept but the General Store does not accept credit cards which I thought was odd since you book and pay for the campsite with one... The store does have an ATM. If you want to swim in the lake, be sure to bring a life vest because you are not allowed to swim without it. I stayed in the new section which was open and easy to park. There are concrete pads poured next to the lane where the camper would be parked. I think the concrete pad might have been a good idea in theory but it was poorly executed. They did not backfill to the edge of the concrete pad and I accidently

Was super nervous after reading the reviews about the staff. But the two women (one in office one in store) were very polite. We didn’t interact with the owner I guess, who most of the negative reviews are about. So we really enjoyed this campground! Nice and quiet at night and very relaxing.
Definitely worth the extra $10 a night for the lake view. There was a really nice breeze off the lake at night. Was really close to the beaches and the horses, which is why we went.
I am only giving the place 4 stars because the bathhouses were pretty gross. And also weird. A huge room with one shower

We are currently camping and this is the worse place we have ever camped. The scenery is gorgeous but the owner is the worse person I have ever encountered. He told us he doesn't want people like us to stay because we had an emergency come up and had to cancel a few days. He also would not follow his own cancellation policy which is on his website or follow his visitor policy. We take our kids camping every year and by far the owner has made this is the worse year yet. As a mom with young kids I have never had so much anxiety.

I needed to share my experience with everyone, island resort campground is clean with spacious sites, has become a little pricey for what you get, of course with COVID no amenities, but since our last stay, prices have increased quite a bit, we go with good friends to have a good , relaxing time. With camping comes glitches, blew out two back tires on our tow vehicle 😬, did not know it until we rounded the corner of the office area, triple A was called , after an hour , no show, called again and there was a problem with the towing company, another hour and a half , no show, thank god for friends

Although I’ve stayed in my camper for work for years, this was my family’s first camper vacation. Island Resort has to be one of the nicest I’ve stayed at. Nice clean spots, level, with plenty of room. All the hookups were on the correct side, not just smattered into an area as an afterthought. All of the staff were friendly and the camp store was stocked with everything you might need or have forgotten. My two daughters had a great time riding their bikes, swimming in the pool and lake, paddle boarding and using the big water trampoline and see-saw. Most all the campers there seemed friendly
