You can choose to file for divorce in the county where you reside, or where your spouse resides. If you've recently moved to Texas, you need to know that Texas Law requires you to have lived within the state for a minimum of six months before you can gain jurisdiction in any Texas County.

There are a number of steps involved in doing this, but the first is to prepare for, schedule and appear at a temporary hearing in a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship (SAPCR).This suit can include asking for child visitation, child support or health insurance coverage as well as a geographical restriction.
This is one of the most common cases our firm handles for clients. It is also one of the most stressful and confusing. We pride ourselves on helping you maneuver through this difficult time in your life by clarifying your rights, explaining the process and helping to ensure your financial and emotional stability - including spousal protection via the filing of temporary restraining orders, when necessary.
Recent statistics from the Texas Department of Transportation report that one person was injured every 2 minutes 16 seconds, and one reportable crash occurred every 71 seconds. More often than not, these accidents are the result of someone's negligence or recklessness. If you or a loved one has been the victim of a negligent or reckless driver, it is imperative that you consult an attorney immediately.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
I asked for some legal advice. In which he did give me that much at least! But he was very rude and hung up the phone in my face I guess he all ready assumed I didn’t have the money for his services. That’s not how you treat people.

While on the phone with him to see if he would take my case, he automatically presumed I did not have the money. I asked how much and I do have the money. I was not going to let him know because of the “presumption” statement & then said he had to go & hung up on me. He treated me very rudely on the phone. That’s just not a way to treat people who are in distress & asking for help.
