I was looking to purchase new window coverings and saw Valley Shades had such high reviews I thought I would get an estimate from them. Zach came out and seemed very friendly and willing to help select new window coverings. After Zack came and took measurements, I was so impressed with him that I decided to do two more windows. Zack came on a Wednesday and said he would have the estimate to me by Friday of the same week. By the next Thursday I still hadn't heard from him so I called him to let him know I wanted to add two more windows to the order. He said he would get the estimate out right away

Don't call this guy. He missed an appointment, didn't call, then after two messages left, he called and said he wouldn't reschedule. I asked if that meant he didn't want our business - he said "well...yes...that's what I guess I am saying!" We've waited weeks and will gladly go elsewhere and pay more if I need to!
Imagine his arrogance - we are long-standing residents in SW Portland and know many thousands of people in our community. I will personally tell others to avoid this guy, unless you want verbal abuse and rudeness.

I found Valley Shades and Zach doing an internet search for shades. I am so glad I did. He was well informed about what we might need and did not pressure us to purchase. The selection of the shades was the hardest part of the process. Zach ordered and installed the shades in a timely manner. Zach was very professional and helpful during the entire process. I highly recommend Zach and Valley Shades. If he hadn’t installed shades for the entire house, I would order more.

Love! Love! Love our new window treatments! Zach was great to work with and helped select, order and install our new blinds in a timely manner, one of the few vendors we worked with that were able to stay on schedule. He helped us select a blind that lets just enough light through when closed, but still gives privacy. Love how clean they look and the quality of the product.

Zach and Tyler were great! We got 3 bids for our new construction house and Valley Shades was very competitively priced! We ultimately chose them for their attention to detail and their non-pushy sales process. We love supporting a smaller business and these guys were PROS at what they do! We will definitely have them back out to add shades to more windows as we need them. Highly recommend.
