Lisa Swanson studied at the Acupuncture Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA and became a Licensed Practitioner (L.Ac.) in 2008. Part of her education was completed at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA where she participated in an UCSF exchange program.

Traditional Chinese Medicine encompasses Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and is a time-tested method for restoring healthy balance, preventing illness and disease. It has been used in many parts of the world for thousands of years and has helped a countless number of people.
Acupuncture safely and naturally treats all pregnancy conditions in a calming, nurturing manner. Each treatment is designed to make both mother and baby stronger for the remainder of pregnancy, delivery, and thereafter. In preparation for birth we work to empower you with knowledge for a safe, natural labor and address concerns and anxiety.
As traditional Chinese medicine herbalists, we are trained in every aspect of each herb's healing properties. Temperature, meridians affected, organs treated, and the herb's specific uses are known and applied skillfully to each person we treat. Additional, synergistic actions of herbs are utilized and can sometimes be combined into a simple tea to steep, or complex formula for you to take home and make a decoction from.

I've gone to Lisa many times for acupuncture. She is always incredibly welcoming and soothing. I always feel well cared for when I go in for treatments.
