At Elite Dance Academy we help our students excel by guiding their creative thinking as they learn about technique, choreography, and music. We promote teamwork and respect of others through an emphasis on classroom, rehearsal, and group performance etiquette. Additionally, by participating in our Apprentice/TA (teacher's assistant) program students have an opportunity to develop and hone leadership skills.

On top of that Ms. Gia, Ms Bree and the rest of the instructors are very knowledgeable of what they do. They teach good discipline along with building self confidence. Services
Gia Waxman and Myrta George, bring years of experience as professional dancers, teachers and choreographers with regional, national and international dance studios and performing companies. Now, both have teamed up to share their expertise in the dance field with a new generation of dance students at the Elite Dance Academy.
Young children learn such skills as listening carefully and not talking while instructions are being given. They also learn to be a member of a group and to take turns. Dance classes offer the opportunity to move to a beat, increase musicality and the use of the imagination. They learn to express their feelings and emotions physically in a non-aggressive manner.
For young persons to learn the skills necessary to instruct, nurture and help develop young dancers in their pursuit of technique, self-esteem and FUN! Apprentices help the class flow by providing help to their assigned teacher. In time, the apprentice can progress to become a 'teacher assistant' (TA).
The focus in this program includes learning the acro positions, locomotion skills (jumping, hoping, etc), balancing skills, movement concepts, cooperation, social skills and tumbling. This program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of Acro Dance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling.
A comprehensive dance education here at Elite Dance Academy should begin when students are young and end around the time of high school graduation. Our young students progress through the study of classical ballet beginning with Pre-Ballet through Ballet Levels 1-8. Their training incorporates a syllabus rich in Italian, French, and Russian influence.
