My name is Jennifer, and I'm the owner/operator of Exposed Moxie Photography, a photography studio based in Norfolk, VA. Before I found my love of photography I had a successful career in marketing. I have a BA from SUNY Albany [I'm a native [upstate] New Yorker] and have worked in the financial, technology, healthcare, education, and real estate sectors as a marketing professional.
Cliche as it is, after I had my son, I knew it was time to move forward on my own path meshing my two worlds (marketing and photography) together. It quickly became clear that what made me special was both my ability to connect with people and my marketing know-how creating imagery that connects YOU to YOUR consumers.

I recently worked with Jen at Exposed Moxie to get some professional headshots taken as healthcare professional. As someone relatively new to my field and definitely NOT a marketing expert, I can say with confidence that Jen knows her stuff. I have done amateur modeling for friends and new photographers in the past, so I was familiar with some tips and tricks. Jen went above and beyond. She really knows how to create a flattering product for everyone and put their best selves front and center.

Jennifer with Exposed Moxie impressed me! I am very pleased with her ability to take my true self and enhance it. Her attention to detail, phenomenal make-up artist, and her personal shopping skills that made her able to find some beautiful outfits that fit me perfectly made me feel like a VIP! Jennifer is absolutely amazing she is so professional and friendly. Me and my children had an amzing experience with our family photo shoot. She also did my maternity photos which exceeded my expectations because she strives for perfection in every photo. Dedicated, creative, professional, so fun (even with me not feeling confident in front of any camera) and with brilliant results. There's such a difference between 'taking a photo' and having a professional photographer at your service. She is well worth every penny!

Jennifer is so bubbly,friendly, and nice! She made sure that I felt comfortable. She was professional and she picked out clothing that made me look great! She also comes package with a makeup artist who also made me look beautiful! I received my pictures super quick and I also received tons of compliments from people on how great I look! Jennifer is an AMAZING photographer who captures the most perfect moments. She did a beautiful photo shoot when my son turned one. He was not the easiest baby to shoot for yet she shot gerber worthy photos! She knew how to make him laugh and got him to pay attanetion. Jennifer is very professional and knows what she is doing. She takes her time on the photos she edits and her work couldn’t be more stunning. Can’t wait to book with her again!!
