First off, Hello! My name is Sarah McDaniel and I am the Owner of Sarah McDaniel Studio! I have been documenting the development of Human Strength since 2018 and let me tell you: I love every second of it! Enabling someone to feel beautiful and comfortable without judgment is a dream come true. Why am I calling this an artist statement?
Well, because I believe the human form is art regardless of the size, history, or trauma it has experienced. Going in to this shoot I was really hesitant. I've been body conscious for years and go through extreme ups and downs of both liking and caring for my body. For the longest time, I was in a low spot, again, and was hesitant about doing something like this for myself and also as a surprise for my partner as well.

I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2017 with two undergrad degrees! One was in Clinical Psychology, focusing on Childhood Trauma and Sexual Assaults'. And the other was in Fine Arts, focusing on Metalsmithing and Sculpture. Both of these degrees have taught me a ton in life, but I have mostly been molded by my own childhood trauma and adult trauma.

Sarah and her studio staff did the best job with making my feel comfortable, sexy and special during my boudoir session. My pictures are phenomenal, I would do it 100 times over and recommend it to anyone. They walked me through the entire process and helped me feel comfortable and safe especially with their snakes.

This was hands down the most empowering and uplifting experience I've ever encountered. Sarah and her team go above and beyond to make clients feel confident and comfortable. From the moment you book they walk you through the process and answer any questions you might have. They help with lingerie choices and fitting so you look your absolute best. The makeup and hair artist is phenomenal as well, she works to provide a personal look for each client that accentuates their features and personality. Sarah and her team are AMAZING! I am a shy person and never did I worry about being naked in from of them. I came out of the session feeling empowered. Sarah and her team go above and beyond to make the experience what you want and help you see yourself for who you are. I can't wait to do another session! I highly, highly recommend them!!

This studio is absolutely amazing! Sarah and her team are freaking awesome! It’s very professional and I felt extremely comfortable. And it was more than just getting my photos taken, it was an entire experience for me and I loved every second. They helped me with my poses and made me feel extremely comfortable. Sarah (and her trusty sidekicks) made my session one I’ll never forget! I felt so comfortable, empowered, and left loving my body even more! It was incredible to see Sarah’s work come to life—she doesn’t take one bad photo! The entire time, my comfort (and safety) was their main priority. It was important for Sarah that I was comfortable and having fun (and boy was it one of the most funnest days!). I also felt respected, heard and valued. Did I mention they worship you like a Goddess and are the greatest hype team? I couldn’t recommend Sarah McDaniel studios enough!! You won’t regret

I cannot recommend Sarah McDaniel Studio enough!! I’ve worked with Sarah before doing makeup but I had my first boudoir session as a client and it was an amazing experience. She and her team have are so supportive and make you feel so comfortable. There were so many outfits to choose from and they tailored everything to my style and what I was wanting. I felt very nervous about the poses and overall what to do during the session and she has assistants that show you how to do everything while Sarah takes the photos. It made it so easy!! Loved my experience at Sarah McDaniel Studio! Definitely exceeded my expectations! Her team of professionals made me feel so comfortable. Every person in the studio was full of positive energy, and Mrs McDaniel, the photographer herself is a true artist. I still don't know how she makes it happen but it's magic. They help you pose and move your body in ways you never thought before. Then she immediately shows you the results- without any editing, just her positioning makes miracles happen.
