What is Insight Meditation? Insight Meditation, also known as Vipassana or mindfulness meditation, originated in the Theravada School of Buddhism, now primarily located in India, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Burma. Vipassana, which means "to see clearly", is the simple practice of moment to moment awareness which leads to the development of wisdom and compassion.
Despite the fact that many states, including Massachusetts, are opening up, IPV will continue to be holding events via Zoom unless otherwise posted in the offering description because of the difficulty of social distancing in our space. Please log in at least a few minutes early so that you have time to make sure everything is working properly.
In the interest of making our Center accessible to all, we ask that you refrain from using scented body products. The Center is also wheelchair accessible (closest elevator is at the West entrance). Pre-registration is strongly encouraged for all retreats and courses. One week before the retreat or start of the course, if there are too few registrants, the event may be cancelled at the discretion of the teacher.
