Our auto repair shop is your best source for reliable & professional service on all makes and models - including hybrid vehicles. We are conveniently located close to downtown & Chico State University Campus at the corner of Cedar and W. 7th Street (near the train station). We go the extra mile for customers and offer pick up / drop off shuttle service.
We are one of the only independent repair shops in the Chico area with the knowledge & training to service & repair hybrid vehicles properly. We offer our customers factory training & up-to-date diagnostic equipment. Which means we will know exactly what's wrong with your car & it will be repaired the right way, the first time on time.
If your automobile seems to be taking a little bit longer to start, it could be because your battery needs to be replaced. Bring in your automobile and we will test your battery to see if it still holds a charge or should be changed. Don't get stranded with a dead battery this Winter, bring your car in before it causes problems.

Yet modern electrical cars have special needs for their electrical components that require factory training, experience and modern diagnostic and service tools. Auto-metrics is proud to offer the best Chico smog check station for gas and diesel vehicles. If you own a vehicle 6 years old or older, the state of California requires you have it smogged every two years. If you've just bought a used car and are looking to get it registered a emissions test is required as well.

I am giving this rating and I never give out ratings. The front desk is understaffed and I had to wait through 5 phone calls scheduling appointments before he finally swiped my card.
On top of that- when I walked to my car parked far behind the parking lot alongside the train tracks - the window was wide open and the door unlocked.
No one was watching my car - and there is a train station right there where people sit and wait/watch all day.
Do not go here.

Kevin & Jeff were helpful & kind when I brought my new (to me) Prius C in. I learned that unlike my Honda which tells me the percentage of miles I have left until I need an oil change, the Prius C simply says "Maintenance Required" when you need an oil change. A friend explained that it is important to make sure the fan to the battery is clear to help extend the life of the battery so I got that done as well. It's a little pricey (under $200), but it extends the life of the battery which can cost around $4500, so it's worth the investment! Jeff explained that should

Very dissatisfied with my experience here. The people who run this auto shop are dishonest and I'll take advantage of you if they can. I took my car in for a simple oil change and they charged me twice what the oil change would have cost. All for a bunch of replacement parts that I didn't need or ask for. I would not recommend this place.

Auto Metrics provides quality service that you can depend on at a fair price. I've owned 2 Subaru Outbacks since new and Auto Metrics has serviced both of them at the same standards and much lower cost that that of the dealership.
My daughter lives out of state and I just gave her my 2nd Subaru and before doing so I had Auto Metrics do the 120,000 mile service with confidence. The went the extra mile to make sure everything was in tip top condition for her.
Now I'm on my 3rd Outback and I will definitely continue using them.

I took my car there to get the window regulator replaced and also my trunk would not open. Both broke within 13 months. I took it back and was treated rudely. The man told me that it was the parts fault which he purchased. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very unorganized, don't stand by their work and are rude!

I've been taking my Prius to AutoMetrics for 3 yrs and have been more than happy
with the service. I was fed up with the dealer and was glad to find them. They are
very professional and have a very clean shop. We also have a Honda Accord and
Ford Explorer that they take care of. Very good location, and they shuttle you where
you need to go. A couple of times I couldn't get my car until well after 7pm, they
locked my car outside and said to come by at any time to pay, very honest.
I recommend to everyone that we have found a truly honest mechanic.
