They are doing alot of work on the roads within the campground. Staff was always so very helpful and nice!
Special thanks to Carrie for accommodating us and working with us. Nice fishing pond for campers, big playground for the kids.

I recently had the pleasure of camping at the Golden Eagle Campground, on Rock Creek Canyon Rd.
I live in the Springs and just wanted to "get away" for a few days. It felt like I was in the mountains! The campground was very clean, the other guests were so nice. I saw deer both days walking around the campground, and the hosts that keep everything going, day and night, were so very kind.
Which brings me to Jim, Missy and Jessie! I had a personal emergency arise, they came and picked me up at my campsite, I sat in their home with them for at least 2 hours, and Missy actually drove me home later

A cheap motel would have been better. It's like camping in a sardine can. Way to many people and not enough space. I'm pretty sure a good majority of people there might be homeless. Very rough. Not a quite place to relax at all. It also says online a beautiful view of pikes peak! If you can see through the giant rock that's directly in front of pikes peak. It seems like they make money just not money that will go back to the park!

Stayed 6 nights had full hook up which is really nice having . Spacing of campers is about like all your other campgrounds. It's nice clean sites some have a few humps in them. It is near Fort Carson (Army base) so if you might hear them training or the morning bugle. Staff is very friendly. Only bad thing I can think of is the connection for your water is on the ground, so if u cant bend over kneel or squat you will have difficulty hooking up your water . Other than that great place

This is a beautiful campground. Sits on the edge of the Rocky Mountains. Sites can be off level so bring your blocks but it is worth it. The owners and staff are super helpful and accommodating. The sounds from Fort Carson are interesting as our military train but not a deal breaker at all.

Some of the worst roads in the campground that we have ever encountered. I have driven on forest roads in the back woods that are maintained better. The nightly rate here ($50-70+ / night) is extremely high for what you get. I understand rustic but dang!! Fix the roads!

Just a lovely campground. My husband and I stayed here for the night in one of the tent sites without hookups. Site was very clean, nice area for the tent, had a fire pit and picnic table. The bathroom, shower, and laundry were very close and super clean. Saw the very friendly staff cleaning it twice in the one night that we were there. Very quiet and serene campground. Laundry also takes cards which was super convenient!

Extremely Friendly Staff and I'm not even just saying this; the campground hosts are truly concerned in making your stay 100% comfortable. One young lady/host... in particular, 'Missy' was an absolute Joy to run into while walking my fur baby or when we needed campfire wood. Every single one of them are ready to help with a smile. ... I don't need to mention the Views much because they speak for themselves.... But I'll attach a few pics 😉😁 just in case your still iffy. Definitely one BEST campgrounds I've ever visited!
Thank you May Family for sharing this beautiful part of Colorado with

Very nice and conveniently located on the west side of Fort Carson. Only 4 stars due to I-25 noise, and first come first served on power. Only one 50amp per 2x sites, so if it's busy you may only have 30 amp power available. Also if you want or need a quieter space call ahead and don't stay in a pull thru near the children's playground. Lastly if your not used to the sounds of a large military installation (helicopters, gunfire, etc) this is NOT the campground for you. We are personally used to it and don't mind it. YMMV

Could be a great campground but it’s seen better days & not well cared for. 3 good things: location to Colorado Springs, friendly staff & Mountain Views. Hard to find level site, electric & sewer on opposite sides so we couldn’t hook up either. After several attempts to hook up, Staff moved us to a different site. But sewer ran up hill. Not a good situation. Needed to use dump station instead. Which was good.
