Services
Upon admission to the Bars of the State of Connecticut in 1986 and New York in 1987, Ms. Brown began her legal career as a special investigative attorney for the City of New York. After relocating to Connecticut, she entered private practice and thereafter accepted a position with Connecticut Legal Services (CLS).
Elder Law has been a recognized area of practice for over twenty five years. Unfortunately, many practitioners handle only the estate planning component. While estate planning can be the starting point, there are many other legal and financial issues to address in the diverse lives and circumstances of seniors and elders.
Essential Estate & Health Care Planning: Power of Attorney, Health Care Representative, Living Will and Last Will & Testament. Last Will, Revocable Trust & Probate Avoidance Strategies, How to find the right estate plan. Please RSVP to Marion Pollack at 203-757-5449. Scott DeVico from the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection will speak on "Safety and Protective Measures".

I am in healthcare and have the pleasure of regularly working with Attorney Julia Brown to meet client needs for elder law long term planning matters. She puts the needs of her client and their family above others. I personally have used Attorney Brown in family matters with good results and recommend her to others.

Julia and her assistant Dana helped not only my parents but our entire family throughout the very emotional process of what was needed to be done in order to prepare for end of life decisions – we are so grateful to have had their compassion and professionalism throughout this most difficult time – we highly recommend their services.

The process of applying and qualifying for Medicaid (Title-19) was quite challenging and way more complicated than we imagined for my parents. There were different options and approaches to managing my parents estate to qualify for Medicaid and Julia spent as much time as we needed to explain the options/approaches in meetings. She initially drew out the options on a whiteboard - this was our game plan. We had multiple conference calls and in-person meetings with Julia and her excellent assistant Dana through the entire process - which took many months. The amount of time and paperwork handled

Julia Brown is an excellent attorney, very thorough and professional. She has helped me with numerous legal situations, ie elder law, probate, setting up S-Corporations and a will. I have known and trusted her for over 20 years and would highly recommend her.

Julia Brown, Esq. and her very able assistant, Dana Esposito are the best team possible for dealing with your elder law issues. This exceptional team shepherded us through the Title XIX process for our mom. Having done this on our own for our aunt, it is an understatement to say that it is a complicated process, fraught with many pitfalls. Julia and Dana took our raw data, organized it, and presented it to state officials in such a professional manner that it sailed right through in record time. We now plan to work with this team on our own estate planning issues so that we can face the future

My husband and I had Julia Brown take care of our wills. Doing a will is a very emotional experience. Julia and Dana (her legal assistant) took the time to answer our many, many questions and were very patient and compassionate in helping us make difficult decisions. There is so much to think about, that it's important to have a professional take care of it and Julia was the perfect attorney for the job. I would highly recommend going to her for your wills or estate planning.

DO NOT go to julia brown! she legally takes a lot of your money and does almost nothing for you. when my family member went to her all she did was a power of attorney and filled out the paperwork for title 19. NEVER did she tell us we had to do so much to get title 19,she kept saying she would get my family member on it! again she did nothing!!! we gave her 5000 and got nothing for it! i found other people who said the same thing. when another member of my family needed a lawyer i found one who did power of attorney, changing of a will, DNR forms and started title 19 forms for 250 dollars! PLEASE
