We asked for a quote on a small window awning that needed to be replaced. Not the structure, just the canvas. They quoted $2200 then verified that this was not a typo. If they thought it was too small a job or had some other reason to refuse the work they should have been honest about it instead of quoting such a ridiculous price.

My phone call was answered with enthusiasm and despite my long list of questions and concerns (permits and regulations are no walk in the park) Phil stayed patient and provided helpful insight that really can only come from extensive knowledge of the craft. Once the installation of my awning was completed it was apparent they also put that knowledge into practice. We now have shade, eye appeal, and cover on a rainy day that customers not only use but comment on AMAZING!! Thank you 🙏

Overall great experience. I was in the market for an awning to put over my patio out by my pool, after getting a few quotes I decided to go with Southern Awning based on the design and price. I wanted to try to get the awning up ASAP because I had some family coming in to town. I asked if there was anyway my order could be expedited but I was told they can't make frames until the permit gets approved by the county. Which is frustrating but it's out of their control. I'm happy with the service I received and the quality of my awning.

We hired them for our house and most recently my son moved down and bought a house. So we surprised them a new awning for their backyard as a housewarming gift. I wish I knew about the google the first time and this be my second 5 star review. I honestly didn't think it was possible to surprise someone with an awning but Phil Lewis pulled it off. They came before and after Hurricane Matthew too. When you call ask for Phil.

Phil gave me a great experience. He did not mess around was very professional and straight to the point. Pricing was fair and the quality was everything you would expect from Southern awnings. So, their installation team is great, but management leaves a LOT to be desired. I sent them a drawing of exactly the awning I wanted. They quoted and I bought. When installers were here, they left out critical elements. It was like their designer never saw drawing OR quote. I pointed out how their work did not match the agreed-upon design and, to their credit, they changed it. But then I got a bill for $500 more than the contract price. No explanation. I didn't pay the extra, but paid contract price of around $8,000 in full. Heard nothing. 3 months later, they called and demanded payment

Stay away from these guys, i gave then a dept for $6250 for an awning for my home and they filed for a permit which was denied, they went ahead and built the frame before they got a permit and somehow think that i am responsible for the cost of their mistake, they offered to give me $1900 back, bad business , no integrity whatsoever!!!
