We are a local florist in Cambridge, MA and also a beloved flower shop for all of Boston, MA. In 1917, George, Stavros and John Gomatos opened Gomatos Brothers Fresh Produce in Harvard Square. From the start, they enthusiastically sold flowers. Over time, the florist business thrived and in 1973 Brattle Square Florist was officially born.

I don't live in this area, but I wanted to send my family flowers on a short notice. I yelped several places and ended up going with Brattle Square.
I called them and asked if they would be able to accommodate my request or if it would have to wait until the next day (which would have been fine with me). But they told me they could do it, so I ordered on their website.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brattle Square Florist. They provided flowers last year for my COVID wedding and this year for my much delayed reception. The flowers were extraordinarily beautiful and many, many guests commented on them! Randy Ricker is the best to work with and they are my go-to florist for everything now!!!

I was hopeful that this would work out because the prices seemed good. I talked with the florist via wedding wire and told them what I would need and they said call me when you have a chance. So I did. And whoever answered the phone was nothing but rude to me and spoke to me like I was dumb. He had a very bad attitude and seemed incredibly impatient with me. I was so put off by how he was interacting with me, that I told him I did not wish to continue the quote because I thought he was being rude and his customer service was awful. And I hung up. I'm sorry that he might be having a bad day

I live in California but my mother is in the Boston area and I wanted to send her some flowers for her 85th birthday. I chose Brattle Square Florist after browsing through websites of numerous florists near Boston. Compared to the other florists, Brattle Square Florist really stood out, both from the beauty of their arrangements and their reasonable prices.

Working with Randy was super easy and we are so pleased with how everything turned out. He was able to take an indistinct vision and turn it into something beautiful. We were married at Oleana and ordered six flowers for tables, a bouquet for the bride, boutonniere for the room, and gauzy-fabric draping over the tree to designate the ceremony location on Oleana’s patio. Randy has worked with the location before and, as promised, everything was set up upon our arrival at 10:30 am ~ish the day of. We used Brattle Square Florist for our wedding because it is my husband's favorite place to go and buy plants. Randy is wonderful to work with and our flowers were perfect. Randy was great about keeping things within a reasonable budget and everything was gorgeous. I could not have asked for better flowers for our wedding. It's also a great place to shop for plants, bouquets etc. Could not recommend it enough!

Went here on a whim to find a large (5 ft+) house plant and was pleasantly surprised. The workers were incredibly honest about the health of the plants and how their inventory can fluctuate depending on whether students are around or not. Great selection of flowers, succulents, small and large plants, and hanging plants. Prices are extremely fair. Will be returning.

I am downgrading my review from 2 stars to 1 star, as I'm still upset about my bridal bouquet more than six months later... and the folks at Brattle Square Florist seem to be so inept with technology that even after sending an email with an annotated photo -- a diagram! with lots of arrows and captions! -- they still asked for a photo. So... they don't get how email works. They also defended the cost in order to make me feel bad asking for a refund of any portion of the order... and now my horrendously huge orb of flowers is the joke of my wedding day. This place should be your go-to florist if you are in the Cambridge area. They know exactly what you want, and exceed expectations. I have never been more pleased, and would recommend to anyone looking to get flowers for any location.

Not once in my 50 years have I stumbled across a florist that was able to deliver a more magnificent arrangement then the one my daughter received this morning for her 25th birthday. I provided the smallest of details by asking that it represent the spring holiday along with my budget and I wasn’t disappointed. I can’t just find the words to thank you enough.

Randy made absolutely gorgeous centerpieces, a bridal bouquet, boutonniere, and garland for our small wedding at the Harvard Club of Boston. We had an initial phone call with him for a general quote and then came into the shop to talk about the details. All I had to do was tell him a few flowers that I liked, the general color scheme, and a few photos of the styles that I liked and he was able to put together more beautiful flowers than I could have imagined. He gave us a very fair price (cheaper than any of the other places we contacted), the lowest delivery price ($30 compared to $200 for others

I love this beautiful little oasis. They always have a nice fresh assortment of plants as well as cut flowers, and their arrangements are lush and beautiful.
Every time I stop by they are friendly and helpful. Over the holidays I needed something for the sad passing of a friends Mom. They were able to quickly put together a fabulous arrangement that made her smile.
So nice to have such a wonderful family owned businesses in our community.

I live in Washington State and my father in-law passed on in Winchester..due to Covid, the family had to send flowers and not attend the memorial.

I absolutely love Brattle Square Florist. We only get our flowers from them! They are super friendly and are constantly aware of your budget. I’ve gotten gifts and received gifts from them! More recently, we used them for our wedding! They were really easy to work with and their prices can’t be beat. Randy was patient and reassuring with us as our wedding plans changed and we ended up with just a fraction of what we originally planned for! I gave them general style and color preferences and essentially let them take creative liberty! I LOVED how my flowers turned out!! Can’t recommend them

I have been looking for a fern for some time and im happy to say I finally found one. It's bright beautiful green 'crispy' leaves make it a stand out. It is meant for cleaning air is perfect for my NYC apartment.
I love the smell it has and I know it will be a great addition to my plant collection at home..
The store was easy to find, street parking with meters is all they have out here. I had to park a few blocks away as the city attracts many people to come and most parking was taken.

I come here a lot to buy plants and flowers. Their prices are a lot more reasonable than Petali nearby, the selection larger, and the quality no worse! The man and woman who work here are friendly and happy to answer questions, although it is a little annoying that none of the prices are marked so you have to ask one by one. I bought a medium succulent for $7 and a medium orchid for $20 recently. I still think Central Square Florist has the best prices in the area, but this florist is not a bad choice.

Your one stop shop for floral and plant needs. I came in here looking for a gift and left with a cute little succulent in a pretty vase.
Staff are super kind and friendly - I didn't ask a lot of questions but the man who rang me up seemed very knowledgeable about their different products and told me how to care for the plant.
Prices are a little high, but hey, this is Harvard Square!
