Before becoming a criminal defense attorney, Thomas J. Melanson had an extensive career as a prosecutor, trying everything from misdemeanor cases to high-stakes violent crimes. My experience with Tom was life-changing he was very empathetic to my struggles with addiction and fought very hard to allow the courts to give me a second chance at life.. now nearly 3 years of sobriety, a great job, a 4-month-old baby girl, a wife and becomming a new homeowner I often think back to those dark days where I had 3 felony charges and 2 misdemeanors a raging addiction problem Tom was one of the few who took the chance to fight for me resulting in only one misdemeanor on my record with no jail time and a life-changing program. He never defended me, I got slayed, my first time ever being pulled over and I get convicted of felony DWI with no blood on file, my word vs cops word and he didn't defend me in anyway. Now I'm 37 yrs old a convicted felon and can't find a job to support my family. I ended up getting the EXACT SENTENCE the judge offered me when I was assigned a public defender. Waste of my money and time
