The short answer is, It's all about the connection with the therapist. Give it 3 sessions, and, if at the end of that, you do not feel heard, understood, and that there might be some hope of dealing with this thing to make life better, it's time to move on and try someone else. There are many different types of mental health therapists out there.
We accept all major credit cards, and cash (exact change preferred, as we keep little cash on premises). We also accept a variety of insurance plan. We will help you work with your insurance company to determine your payment responsibilities, so please be sure to make us aware of any changes in your insurance coverage.
Counseling is the process of a normal individual sitting down with a trained professional to talk out the problems of living. This often involves exploration of the problem, and the issues surrounding it, building awareness of strengths and resources, developing new skills, and eventually creating and enacting a plan to create change that makes things better.
