At Laguna Niguel Montessori Center, our mission is to use the celebrated Montessori approach to teaching and provide children with a high-quality education that prepares their mind and heart for the future. Our school is a safe and nurturing environment where children are guided by expert teachers on an educational journey.
Our classrooms maintain a low teacher to student ratio policy which ensures optimum learning and individualized academic instruction. Learning is reinforced internally through the child's own repetition of an activity and internal feelings of success. Child can work where he/she is comfortable, moves around and talks at will (yet disturbs not the work of others ); group work is voluntary and negotiable.
A Montessori education offers children opportunities to develop their potential by developing them to be engaged, competent, responsible, and respectful citizens who appreciate the joy of learning. Each child is valued as a unique individual. Montessori education recognizes that children learn in different ways and learning styles should be accommodated.
The Montessori Method has been has been used with great success around the world for more than 100 years. Between the ages of 2 and 6, a great deal of your child's intelligence and social characteristics are formed. The Montessori curriculum includes multi-sensorial activities that develop cognitive skills during this critical time.
Laguna Niguel Montessori Center has been a part of the community since 1995. This review was long long long overdue - 5 years to be precise. Our beautiful journey with Laguna Niguel Montessori Center started when my older son was only 3 years old - back in 2016. It's now coming to an end with our younger son graduating from LNMC pre-school, 5 years later.

I'm so happy that we choose this school for my 2 year toddler. We reviewed lot of schools in the neighborhood my husband liked McDowell as the teacher to student ratio was less and more individual attention but I wanted her to go to Montessorie as their way of teaching is more self paced and no pressure to kids to do the same thing at the same time. It's been just 2 months I can see the improvements in her fine motor skills, attention to details, speaking 3-4 syllables, listening skill, independent play. I know there are schools where teachers communicate with parents almost everyday

My daughter has been going for 9 months and all I can say is by far the best preschool/ daycare. They really take the time to teach the kids and interact with them, I love this school I wouldn't take her out for any reason!

Great school! Wonderful staff, experienced teachers and outstanding curriculum. School has an amazing program from Toddler room to kindergarten, ensures a great foundation before attending elementary school.
The school is very clean and classrooms are super tidy, big and bright.
Ms Athana at the front desk is very friendly, caring and costumer-oriented. She knows every single child, even the siblings, by name. She truly cares and answers to your every single question patiently.
We have two kids at this school and they love going everyday.
It feels more like a good family, highly recommend it

Staff is amazing, school is very clean, classrooms and playground are in the right size, classroom materials are clean and tidy. I am very satisfied of what my son has learnt from its preschool/K program in the past two years. He started without knowing any English at all , then he could read independently to his friends in circle time when he graduated. The program is well balanced with academic, music and art. Highly recommend.

I can't speak highly enough about LMNC. Our child was there for 3.5 years; the foundational social and academic elements far surpassed our expectations. The class sizes were ideal, and all his teachers (Mrs. Flavia, Mrs. Eng, Mrs. Cara, Mrs. Michelle, Mrs, Katti) genuinely cared for each and every student -- and they taught students how to care for each other. The best decision we could've made. The staff is amazing; ALL the teachers know my child's name, (not just her direct teachers), she is learning in leaps and bounds, everything is very clean and the school is very safe (unique code for each family to get inside and fingerprinting for pick up and drop off). I cannot say enough good things about this school and we haven't regretted our decision for even a second. I toured this school first and then many, many more before we circled back to the very first school we looked at because nothing else came close. Even though it costs

If I could give 10 stars, I would! From the minute you walk in, this school impresses. I called and visited numerous schools in the area and Laguna Niguel Montessori truly shines. The notables: sparkling clean, beautiful outdoor play area, nurturing environment, organized classrooms, and fully professional management. Highly recommend.

We have been in this center for my daughters for more than two years now ( 4 and 6 years old now). The center is run perfectly with excellent academic and extra -curricular activities for kids. Extremely happy with what my kids have accomplished. self confidence and social skills with great knowledge of art and literature added to their reading and math skills.

We visited this past week for our 2 year old and 4 year old. Having visiting many locations in South OC and in Los Angeles, which we left two years ago, I have seen A LOT of montessori schools and other childcare facilities. Of everywhere I have ever visited, including locations I had my children attend, this is THE BEST of them all. Very clean, obviously. Comprehensive facility in terms of toys, education, playground and extra activities. The staff exudes kindness and the children clearly love the staff. I have visited and observed many Montessori schools before making the decision of sending my child to LNMC. As a parent, I made the decision based on the followings: the teachers experience and qualifications, cleaniness, friendliness and knowledge on the administration end, and the at last, Ms. Debbie who runs the school. She has the passion and truly cares for the children.
This is my son's second year and I am happy that I have made this decision. Though a shy child, he has grown emotionally and academically with teachers who have shown him the love and care for him to flourish independently

Montessori schools offer children confidence and a love of learning not seen in other programs (and academic achievement that is far above what any other school can offer) HOWEVER not all montessoris are created equal and LNMC is the BEST ONE IN OC. IT is truly amazing on so many levels! We have attended with great disappointment n visited other… montessoris in OC n know that LNMC stands above all the rest w/ the teachers n overall program of excellence. We LOVED this school for our first two kids n feel blessed ot have our third child attend this upcoming yr.

Our son started at LNMC 2 years ago as an almost 3 year old. He's an introvert and very observant and we have been extremely happy with how he's blossomed in this very safe and academically-focused environment. Did not have a good experience. Not open to feedback or questions about the curriculum or the methodology. Instead I was made to feel bad about it and never received answers to the specific questions. Later, I was sent a rude email from the owner. I am happy I found a school that values parental participation and answers any and all questions without getting defensive and rude.

My daughter has been at this school since she was 2 years old (she's now in first grade). Every teacher she's had along her journey at Laguna Niguel Montessori has been a true blessing. They have the unique ability to be loving yet motivating! The school is run very well by a director/owner so this truly makes a difference.
