Tina Joseph, FNP-BC, FNP-C, is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations and Information Management Systems from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL.

In general, only epidermal lesions of obvious origin are treated with liquid nitrogen. This includes ordinary skin tags, small warts, and seborrheic and actinic keratosis. Utterly common and easy to treat, these lesions have no potential for malignant transformation and have relatively poor vasculature, which makes them ideal candidates for controlled, localized frostbite.
