We are family oriented and have a sail- and power-boat protected marina, swimming pool and junior sailing academy. We host year-round social events for our members and guests. Privately member-operated, our club provides a friendly, relaxing and convenient place to enjoy the Hudson. There's a world-class junior sailing program for your kids, an Olympic pool, slips and moorings for your yacht, and a charming clubhouse with a grand porch from which to view the sights and sunsets.
Services
A family oriented sail, boat, swim and social club located on the Hudson River. We feature a renowned sailing academy, outdoor pool, private beach and a clubhouse overlooking the scenic Hudson River. With 125 boat slips and over 20 moorings, we accommodate boats of all sizes from kayaks to 40 foot cruisers.
Renovated in 1907 by Architect Wm. H. Rahmann, the clubhouse became a noted landmark along the Hudson River. It was featured on this penny post card of the day. Resembling a riverboat, with its gangway to shore, it provided entertainment and recreation for the gentlemen of Ossining and their guests.
Whether you enjoy sailing or boating, socializing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, learning to sail, picnicking on the Hudson or you would just like to sit on our veranda and enjoy the majestic views, Shattemuc Yacht Club may just be the place for you and your family. SYC is a club for the whole family to enjoy.
Welcome to Shattemuc Yacht Club, the oldest Yacht Club on the Hudson River. We want your visit to Ossining and the Historic Hudson Valley to be a pleasant one, so here is some helpful visitor information. Recently, with the assistance of a Boating Infrastructure Grant through the US Department Fish and Wildlife, we have added over 30 transient slips and docks open to the public.

After eating at the restaurant next door we went to see if the club had reciprocity with ours - we were “asked” to leave by a total Karen. Let me tell you. When we sail up here later this summer we will not be stopping by. Total rudeness that I’ve never encountered in the boating community. Best of all we’re super dangerous looking. Especially with that infant in the stroller. Danger baby FTW.

I am leaving this review because I wish someone would have warned us. Terrifying experience for transients. The dockmaster was very nice and accommodating BUT the dock that they assign transients to has an extremely violent and unusual effect; it creates a very loud sound and and has extreme volatility when a large wake hits it (which is often). Could damage your boat. We were awoken at 6am by a violent rocking and this really loud suction sound-effect (sounded like an engine revving). We were very disoriented and in terror; it felt like somebody was towing the boat. The force was so powerful that

Expensive to join and no amenities to mention. The club house is dated and a bit freyed. Okay swimming pool.
No restaurant or Cafe... They do have a limited self-serve small bar.
Great views and magnificent sunrises and sunsets.
They just revamped the docks and added new ones. The Harbor Master did an outstanding job.
Most members are pretty nice. Been there as a guest on several occasions.
