The day was very significant for my family as it was the culmination of 10 years of education to earn a Doctorate in Chiropractic. Since then I have served Southeastern North Carolina with pride committing myself to providing exceptional quality Chiropractic healthcare. In order to start to solve your health problem we must first understand it.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Daniel Hanson is ecstatic to now call Wilmington home. He graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a Pre-PT focus. Inspired by the human frame and the body's ability to sustain life, he went on to study chiropractic at Life University in Atlanta, GA, the largest chiropractic school in the world.
Dr. Alexis Demetrious is a Wilmington NC native. She has a passion and love for helping others. Dr. Alexis has been under chiropractic care since she was in the womb! She was adjusted by Dr. Larry Webster who is the founder of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) at birth, and then her Dad, Dr. Greg Demetrious.
Dr. Gowing was born and raised in the Charlotte, NC suburb of Mooresville. He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Pre-Med concentration. Following graduation, Dr. Gowing moved to Washington, D.C. where he began studies to be a Physician Assistant.
Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care is the pinnacle of Chiropractic care. There are an estimated 75,000 Doctors of Chiropractic with only a very small portion (less than 1000) certified to provide this very important work. Upper cervical care uses 119 years of research, precision X-rays, mathematical measurements, spinal analysis and pre/post objective instrumentation to understand and correct upper cervical subluxations.

I am extremely happy with the results of my chiropractic care. Not only are my Sinus Issues at least 90% controlled, my overall physical wellness has improved. I am now a huge advocate of chiropractic care & highly recommend Healing Hands as a place to go. I wish it wouldn’t have taken so long for someone to talk me into trying chiropractic care as a source of treatment.

At my appointment yesterday with Dr. Hanson I mentioned I had cramps (I had the seat heater on in my car to help with the pain on the way to my appointment) and after my adjustment he had Dr. Alexis come in and adjust/stretch me out to help alleviate the pain and cramping. It SERIOUSLY helped and I didn’t need the heated seat turned on for my drive home! Ladies, ask about this next time you have cramps because I had no clue this was a thing! You won’t regret it!

Dr. Alexis is compassionate, knowledgeable, and thorough. I started seeing her due to short pregnancy intervals and really hoping for a VBAC after a prior cesarean. She helped align and keep my spine and pelvis in the best position for my growing baby and the my health. She works wonders.
I also took my 15 month old in to see her and her patience and gentleness with her was outstanding. Within a day of my daughters adjustment her symptoms of an prior ear infection were gone. Hands down the best!!

Had some deep rooted issues in my sacrum and lower back that was EXTREMELY painful. Dr Gallion helped reverse the pain and take it from a 11/10 down to a 3/10 after just three adjustments!!! Couldn’t let this go without giving them a well deserved excellent job / review!! Greatly looking forward to the future of feeling better and better!

Healing hands is a family owned and operated business with a very warm and welcoming environment for anyone to come and receive great quality chiropractic treatment. I have been going to healing hands for the past 5 months with a severe back and hip injury. Dr. Hanson who is one of the few Gonstead trained doctors in North Carolina, has been a HUGE help to my recovery. He not only takes care of your spine but also ensures a very thorough and complete level of care for his patients (top to bottom). In short I was a hunched over 26 year old looking very weak and defeated until coming to Healing Hands

From the moment you enter the practice, everything is exceptional. The new building is top notch.The front desk staff always spends enough time with you to ensure your visit is nothing but the best. Dr. Caitlyn is amazing. She thoroughly explains the chiropractic care process and what to expect week after week. She spends time listening, and never rushes through the appointment. A family practice for families. A Great Team! Dr. Demetrius treats my son with high functioning autism. He can be a challenge to work with but Dr. D is a true professional and handles him so well. Dr. Hansen treats me and the rest of my family. We have all seen major improvements. He even helped lead us to a discovery of a food sensitivity for my 5 year old. A lot of meals he was defiant, later we learned because of the sensitivity. Since the discovery and some dietary changes he now eats like a horse and meal time is a joy not a battle.
