Neck Conditions
Report
The neck is very prone to injuries from the way I look at it, it is pretty much of a setup. Your head is a size of bowling ball and your neck is a size of the golf tee. Over time, the weight and strain that your head provides to your neck causes obvious changes as we age. It is more or less baked in the cake that you will develop some arthritis in your neck and is considered a part of nature aging.
Shoulder Joint
Report
The shoulder is particularly vulnerable to injury for it is not considered a very stable joint. In order for the shoulder to do all the mobility that is required, it has to move in all planes of range of movement. This complex movement involves many different types of muscle and joint functions including your collarbone, your scapula, and your rotator cuff in what are termed accessory muscles to help your arm move.
Shoulder Bursitis
Report
Bursitis of the shoulder essentially involves a structure that sits on top of the rotator cuff protecting it from the bone above called the acromion. Frequently, people develop bursitis in their shoulder and have classic symptoms of decreased range of motion and pain at rest and have especially a hard time getting to sleep at night for it is hard to move your arm to pull up the covers or put it underneath the pillow.
Myofascial Pain
Report
Muscles sometimes receive abnormal signals which cause them to remain in spasm for prolonged periods of time. In these situations, the actual makeup of the muscle changes and becomes more like scar tissue. When this happens, you have chronic pain that can last for months to years. This pain can frequently be treated.
Elbow
Report
The elbow joint is here again a very complex joint. It does not only move up and down like a hinge but it spins and is prone to frequent injuries. Tennis elbow is the most common. Essentially that condition develops when the tendon that attaches to the outside portion of your elbow is partially torn off, it tries to heal back, it is torn again and produces chronic pain in your elbow leaving scar tissue.
