Lipstick on wine glass, rice burnt and hard, everything charred and burned. Chicken was inedible, tough and super dry. Soup is water. Bathroom, when pulled the toilet paper it fell down. Bug in water glass. Shrimp not deveined. Sushi was warm,, so weird.. I'm not sure anything else could have went wrong. Just bad!

Beautifully decorated, lots of seating both for hibachi and sushi. But don't be fooled, Shiki on N May and the Shiki on W Reno might look like the same restaurant, it might have the same menu and exactly the same branding BUT as the manager very frankly explained to us, they are not the same company. Definitely preferred our Shiki on N May as the service is better and staff are much friendlier.

The food was good, but if you're expecting it to be as good as Shiki on May and Memorial, you're in for a disappointment. The manager was rude and actually said to us "I'm not a mind reader" when I said this certain sushi dish was not like the other Shiki. I was then schooled on how their Shiki and the other Shiki are separate companies. The menus and decor are the same, so I didn't know they were different. The manager then blatantly interrupted me when I spoke to my wife. I pointed it out to him. From then, our table received poor service.

I have been intending to write this review for a decade. The staff is top notch. Everyone from top to bottom knows their job and performs it with precision and genuine care. As friendly as they are vigilant to their craft, they seldom misstep. The food is to die for. The impeccable aforementioned staff is more than eager to provide delectable suggestions should you be on the fence and they have yet to fail me. Be it sushi or hibachi, the chefs are culinary wizards. If those reading this have not experienced Shiki, I highly recommend that you do.

Sushi gone bad...and the gyoza too for that matter. This was litterally the worst restaurant sushi I have ever had and I have had some terrible ones.
I started with the gyoza and it had been deep fried. Seriously? It was chewy and tough and the sauce they provided with it was spicy. They probably deep fry to save the time to actually prepare it properly with steam and some seasame oil in a fry pan. It was terrible.
I tried a tuna roll that was very skimpy on the tuna and the avacado. Not impressed.
I then tried the nigiri sushi as the simplicity of this type of sushi allows you to actually guage

Horrible service. We were rushed and given about 3 minutes to order drinks, appetizers, and food. The food was given no seasoning and took about 10 minutes to cook chicken, steak, and seafood. The server was extremely rude. Our chicken was not cooked fully through and was rude and they didn't care to fix our problem. The server proceeded to cause a problem in the restaurant, completely embarrassing by yelling around because we didn't like our food. They told us that they have their sushi sitting out all day including their avocado which was brown when we got the sushi roll. The next sushi

Tonight was an awful experience. The cook was in such a hurry that our food was undercooked. The calamari, the shrimp, and even the chicken!! We brought the chicken up to the manager and he said it was special "Woodstock chicken" and that it was suppose to be like that. We literally watched the cook put our food on the grill for seconds and take off. So disappointing especially for a $130 meal and we ate very little. I normally do not post negative reviews but the fact that our food was not cooked AND we were charged for things we never received and when we brought it up with manager

Usually one of our favorite places, so Monday night amid the virus scare and only a dozen or so patrons in the restaurant. We had even called ahead, but they sat our party of four with another party that had already finished their soup and salads. We told the waitress that if we were going to get rushed that we wanted to move to another table but she said that wouldn't happen. So the soup and salads came out together and ten seconds later here comes the chef and his cart. I was barely three sips into my soup when the chef starts his show and he's starting to put food on my plate before

NOT FRESH SUSHI! Ordered the most basic sushi to go. Three orders of nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. The Yellowtail & Tuna nigiri had a foul smell. The salmon was the only thing edible. The "spicy tuna roll" looked like 6 pieces of grocery store tuna with a bit of spicy sauce shhmeared on top. What a waste of money, for something we could not eat. Would have told the manager in person, but we ordered takeaway,

My extended family went to Shiki for a birthday. We had 24 people, so we were seated at three different tables at three different grills. It took a while to get service. The biggest issue was the fact that the food was cooked and served at three different times. We later were informed they were a little understaffed today as all the chefs were on vacation. By the time the first table had finished their food, the third table was still waiting for their chef to turn on the grill.
The salad's flavor was fine, but it was drowned in dressing. I couldn't eat the last of it because it was way

There were six of us tonight and decided to eat teppanyaki tonight. There is plenty of parking outside so no problem there and since it was 5:30pm on a Wednesday not too busy yet.
Everyone ordered a variety of food from shrimp, scallops, steak, chicken and my salmon to top it off. I myself am not a big fan of the tricks with the cooking utensils and eggs being tossed into the air, but this place serves you large portions of food for a reasonable price. They also did a good job of keeping my water glass full so definitely no complaints there.
I do recommend if you are hungry for teppanyaki

The sushi was not very cold which was pretty unpleasant. The rolls were not made very professionally, they were not rolled and cut neatly like I expect at a sushi restaurant. They did have a good variety of items on the menu though.
One upside to this place is the location - there aren't many sushi places in this area so it will work when I don't have the time to drive to Sushi Neko and I am craving sushi.

The hibachi was okay - I've had better. My best friend loved her sushi. Pretty average place.
The hostess seemed a little perturbed that people would dare to show up. It showed, she was on her phone 90% of the time we were there.
Our waitress was great! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and kept our drinks full.
The vibe was kinda weird - country music, really?
I got the steak hibachi with fried rice. The steak was a bit chewy, but ok. I got it ordered from the kitchen since we weren't sitting at the grill.
I don't know if I'd ever recommend this place, but

My first visit here and I asked for more veggies than rice as I cannot eat rice. They said it would be a $6.95 up charge!!!! Veggies don't cost that much. So I opted for another salad for an additional $1.95.
Way to give me a 1st impression. I told them I was willing to pay extra but not the cost of another meal!!!
The dressing on the salad is a tad bitter and not the creamy citrus dressing at a lot of Japanese restaurants.
The chicken was dry and had burnt teriyaki sauce. The veggies had no flavor and was primarily bean sprouts.
When lunch was served my plate was incorrect so I had to

Wow! Some of the best sushi I have had in quite some time. The staff was super friendly and treated us like family. The food was simply amazing. For sushi in a land locked state there is no comparison. I've had sushi from different places along the coast which offers some of the freshest sushi you can get, this place can beat them. Do your tastebuds a favor and get some sushi here. It truly is some of the best around.
