Our company ironsmiths work by heating pieces of steel until the metal becomes soft enough to be shaped with hand tools, such as a hammer, anvil or chisel. Heating is accomplished by the use of a forge fueled by propane or natural gas. Lastly, heating iron to a "forging heat" allows bending as if it were a soft, ductile metal, like copper or silver.

I was looking through checks the other day and I ran across the one I wrote to Rick Gomez at RG Iron Works for stair railings. His work is beautiful, well put together, quality work. It's a Spanish style home and there is lots of wood but no iron. We have a wooden railing which we built for our porch and we wanted to replace what iron there was at the steps. To match the railing, we wanted iron with Ipe wood for the top. He said he couldn't do it because he only does iron. But on the company website is an iron/wood stair railing. Then we said make the railings and we will add the top

These guys did an awesome job on my gate, railing and new stairs with concrete steps. They showed up when they said they would and all of their employees are hard workers and keep the jobsite clean.

His work is top notch. He does excellent work. He worked around our time of business and cleaned up after themselves. He was able to match the design and style of our building. We were surprised that it came out so nice. Customers were telling us how nice it is and how well it fix with the rest of the building

When I called the guy that answered talked down to me, more than likely because I was a woman, with a small project, in a city that was beneath him. He said he doesn't go to my city even though it was no more than 10 minutes from the city he is located in which is Rosemead. As a first time customer calling I could tell he was all about his fee to come out ($175) and how much money he could make on a project and not on customer service. I would keep looking if u need iron work.
