Iowa Student Loan
ISL Education Lending is the name under which Iowa Student Loan Liquidity Corporation now operates, but the organization and its mission have not changed.

We are a nonprofit organization with a mission to help students and families obtain the resources necessary to succeed in postsecondary education, from private student loans, offered under the name ISL Education Lending, and scholarships to free planning tools and resources provided by Iowa Student Loan Liquidity Corporation. In the past 40 years, we have helped nearly 400,000 students pay for college.
Services
Iowa Student Loan Liquidity Corporation, doing business as ISL Education Lending, is a nonprofit corporation offering private student loans for students and families who have exhausted other sources of aid. In addition, we provide scholarships and programs for families and reinvest funds in programs to benefit students and borrowers.
We support the Education Finance Council's Guiding Principles for Nonprofit, State-Based, and State-Chartered Organizations Who Make Education Loans. This document (PDF) is intended to serve as a guiding statement for organizations that make loans to cover educational expenses, outlining general principles that promote borrower success.
If you have loans from other lenders with high rates or simply want to have all your loans in one place, check out our refinance option for in-school borrowers. Private student loans are just one way students and families can fill the gap between available student financial aid and the total cost of college.
The Partnership Loan is a national loan for undergraduate students, and cosigners can help students meet the credit requirements. This specialized loan is a fixed-rate option for students at the junior level or higher attending an Iowa college or university full time and meeting specific criteria. The suite of Partnership Loan products are designed to supplement - not replace - other sources to fill funding gaps for students and parents.
The College Family Loan is a private loan for parents, family members and others looking to help undergraduate or graduate students with college costs. With this loan, you choose the repayment option that works with your budget. As a nonprofit, we're able to offer competitive rates that are often lower than rates offered by other national for-profit lenders and that are lower than the parent PLUS loan rate.

Every step of the application process for the Reset Refinance Loan was easy, accessible, and well explained. Whenever I had a unique question, there was always a helpful representative to guide me through the issue. I am thrilled I get to finish paying the remainder of my student loans through such a trustworthy lender!

Private loan interest rates aren't fun, but the people at Iowa Student Loan are professional, friendly, and helpful. They patiently answered all my questions about refinancing and they are great to work with.

I got the information about this organisation in mail. Thought of calling and asking details about student loan and various products they provide. When I called, Cody answered my call and for the first time I had a very great experience of talking to an associate from financial industry who was more focused on providing accurate information than selling products. His approach and method of answering my question was very helpful which definitely will help his company as well.
I wish him (Cody) all the very best and also wish ISL good luck. He is a very valuable asset to his company.

We've literally paid more than $150,000 to ISL. Have watched our daughter's loan interest rates rise since Trump took office. Tried to consolidate and get a better overall rate. Jumped through hoops. Each of us (our daughter and my husband and I) has FICO 8 scores of more than 815. They use FICO 4 to rate and so they tell us we can't get better rates. I feel so abused by these people. We've never defaulted, we're trying to pay off faster and get DONE with these f-ers. They'd rather steal more money. You'd think they'd try to work with us. NOPE. Over them. It sucks eggs. I literally hate this company

We have paid off loans 5 years ago and they continue to come up with ways to say we owe them more. I think they are a scam and need to be investigated. They have a tendency to split loans and split them some more so you never know what your really suppose to owe. Time for the state to investigate and get Tom Miller involved.

Though I wish I never had to take out student loans, I always experienced good customer service with this company. No complaints. Easy to use web system for making payments.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Iowa Student Loan. They have been so easy to work with and always incredibly helpful. Because I moved around for my advanced degrees, I have had to depend on numerous lenders, and these guys were by far the best. I can recall at least two occasions that ISL actually helped me figure out an issue because my other lender(s) could/would not.

I have not one good thing to say about Iowa Student Loan. They have terrible customer service and are not willing to help their customers in any way. I got laid off in 2009 and called to ask for a deferrment or some kind of lower payment until I got back on my feet. They said there was nothing they would do, even though I had zero income. They told me that if I didn't pay my $483 paym, ent, they would just go after my parents for it. Horrible experience. I wish someone had warned me about them before I went to school.
