Bone Density is an imaging exam for detecting bone loss. Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by the progressive loss of bone density and thinning of bone tissue. This scan is a painless, non-invasive test that uses extremely low dose radiation. Scans of your lower back, hip or forearm are most often taken.
Computed Tomography (CT) is a radiology procedure that combines x-rays and computer technology. The images appear as slices (like a loaf of bread) that construct images free of the superimposition of other organs and tissues. The result is a more detailed picture that may show problems with soft tissues, organs, and bones.
A Mammogram is a low dose x-ray of the breasts. During the exam, each breast will be compressed. You may feel some discomfort, but compression reduces your radiation dose and provides the radiologist with detailed images to review. Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3-D Mammography) is a revolutionary state of the art technology approved by the FDA which can be performed at the same time as your regular mammogram.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses a strong magnet and radio waves to produce very detailed images of the area your doctor wants us to examine. There is no radiation. You will be asked to provide the technologist a detailed medical/surgical history which will include information on any medically implanted devices.

This is the third time over a period of four years that I’ve needed physical therapy for various issues. I return to Bonita Community Health every time because they are personable, knowledgable, efficient, and excellent therapists. They explain thoroughly the information the doctor provided to them, what they are doing and why, and how to follow up with my exercises at home. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. The therapists do an excellent job evaluating my status and determining my needs. I highly recommend the physical therapy Dept at Bonita Community Health Center.

All walk in clinics should follow Bonita Health Center. I called numerous clinics to get a Covid test, they were all either booked up or worst I had to go there in person and wait in line( standing) for 2-3 hours. If you are sick who wants to stand for 2-3 hours let alone for minutes. I kept calling around and found Bonita Health Center and they put me on a list. They told me it would be about 5 hours but will continually give me texts to keep me updated. I stayed in the comfort of my own home and when it was 35 minutes from my appointment time that is when they told me I could go to the receptionist

Make an appointment!!! Came in as a walk-in and I am still waiting 2+ hours!! Neither the person at the front desk nor the person who quickly took my insurance information, neither told me the estimated length of wait!! i would’ve made an appointment and come back later! Wasted all morning sitting in the waiting room! this has never happened to me at an urgent care.. I won’t be coming back.. nothing urgent about the service.

We came in 10 am in the morning, my son had an allergic reaction with visibly swollen face. We were sent away with: “We don’t take new patients”. There were about 5 people in the waiting room. The function of an urgent care is not to send away patients in visible distress but to allow them immediate care.

Arrived at urgent care for my son and reception was very nice. Waited about 15 minutes and greeted by the nurse who was fabulous. I cannot say enough about the care that my son received! Pedro and Andrea are excellent and communication regarding my sons condition outstanding! Radiology was fantastic and Linda in scheduling was amazing as I had to travel for 2 hours and informed me promptly that day had changed. If you are in need of excellent urgent medical care, I would highly recommend Bonita Health Center. 5 stars is not enough. I would give them 10 stars. THANK YOU ALL!!

Walked in and didn’t have to wait long at all before they looked at me. All the staff was friendly as could be. The Doctor was very thorough and super friendly as well. I avoid hospital/ clinical settings at all cost but this was a very smooth and friendly/ pleasant experience. Had chest X-rays done, everything clearly explained and prescriptions written with zero problem. Highly recommend for urgent care type issues.

I came in for a follow up of a foot injury and was seen by Gregory Grubb. He did not make me feel like I received adequate care. He basically told me to get a foot injection and surgery when realistically that doesn't heal a neuroma. I was told the injection would break down the neuroma and basically stop it but this is not true. A foot injection will temporarily mask pain. The surgery however sometimes not successful can relieve the pain. He saw me for all but 3 mins and I felt like they just wanted me out the door. Not professional imo

I was on vacation when I developed a rash which I believed to be shingles. Fortunately I chose Bonita Health Center Urgent Care for evaluation. My experience was excellent. I was registered and seen first by a med tech within 15 minutes. He was professional and very pleasant. Then I was seen by the doctor. His demeanor put me at ease and, in fact, diagnosed shingles. He provided thorough teaching on care of the site and sent a prescription to a local CVS. As I intend to be in that area again in the future to visit family who have moved there I’m reassured to know Bonita Health is available, efficient

URGENT CARE - While on vacation I needed an urgent care for treatment of an abscess that had been troubling me. After verifying that they were a preferred provider by my health insurance went there about noon on a weekday. I was quickly checked in and did some paperwork. The digital wait sign said my number was a 80 minute wait. (Apparently you… can leave building while waiting) I was surprised to hear my name called within 5 minutes. A doctor saw and treated me immediately. He listened to my history, looked at the problem and offered a treatment. 15 minutes later I was back on vacation

Dr. Mark Genco saved my father's life! He suspected a more serious problem than what he was being seen for and encouraged my mother to take my father directly to the hospital. He didn't alarm them, but instead showed care and compassion when explaining his concerns. He was right and my dad was given the treatment he needed. Dr. Genco also followed up with a personal phone call to my father to see how he was doing. My mother is still talking about what wonderful care they received and how thankful they both are.
