A bunion (also referred to as hallux valgus or hallux abducto valgus) is often described as a bump on the side of the big toe. But a bunion is more than that. Diabetes can be dangerous to your feet - even a small cut can produce serious consequences. Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, a condition that is sometimes also called heel spur syndrome when a spur is present.

Ankle sprains are caused by an unnatural twisting or force on the ankle bones of the foot, often resulting in one or more ligaments on the outside of the ankle to be stretched or torn.
Your first visit to Bright Foot Clinic establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more.
An ankle sprain is an injury to one or more ligaments in the ankle, usually on the outside of the ankle. Ligaments are bands of tissue - like rubber bands - that connect one bone to another and bind the joints together. In the ankle joint, ligaments provide stability by limiting side-to-side movement.
What is a Tarsal Coalition? A tarsal coalition is an abnormal connection that develops between two bones in the back of the foot (the tarsal bones). This abnormal connection, which can be composed of bone, cartilage, or fibrous tissue, may lead to limited motion and pain in one or both feet. The tarsal bones include the calcaneus (heel bone), talus, navicular, cuboid, and cuneiform bones.
Arch supports are devices that are placed into one's shoes to support the arch and diminish or eliminate pain. A foot and ankle surgeon may provide advice on which type is best for your foot type, and you may be able to obtain arch supports from the doctor's office. Arch supports can also be purchased without a prescription from drug, shoe, and sporting goods stores.

I went in to have an X-ray taken for a sprained ankle and was asked to come back a few weeks later for a post op visit, which I assumed was included in the price for the original visit, and because I wasn’t told a price or that I would have to pay. At the post op visit the doctor came in, asked how I was doing and after I told him i was good, the appointment was over. I was charged over $50 for this post op visit which I find ridiculous. At other clinics post op appointments are included in the original visit. I called the office to ask if this charge was a mistake and was told it was not, that

Dr. Bright does a good job. Full payment was expected (regardless of insurance) at time of procedure. Once insurance pays, we have the hassle of getting our money back! If they would run our insurance and expect copay and uncovered portion, then I would have no complaints. The wild goose chase is unnecessary!

Dr. Bright did my foot surgery after I broke it. He did an excellent job! They let me make payments and they ran my insurance. I dont know what everyone is talking about having to pay up front. Infact I'm having a problem with my other foot and I am going back to him in November. The staff is very friendly and the dr does an amazing job.
