Elliott Sawmilling takes great pride in supplying sustainable wood products to its customers. Natural, renewable, recyclable and environmentally sustainable; wood is a preferred building material. It is safe, sturdy and dependable - the best insulator against heat and cold and considered by many to be the most energy-efficient building material in use today.
Your timberland is a valuable renewable resource, and our goal is to give you the best possible price for your timber, while being sensitive to your other planned land uses. We are able to be highly competitive when it comes to bidding. After the harvest, we can also help to plan your next step in forest management, ensuring the viability of the forest for generations to come.
Elliott Sawmilling is a 100% southern yellow pine mill. It is a modern high tech mill capable of sawing 2 X 4's to 2 X 12's, eight to sixteen feet in length. Our first priority is to produce quality lumber. At the "big" mill, Elliott Sawmilling has a band saw and carriage for larger logs and a sharp chain for smaller logs.
Richard Hepburn Elliott founded Elliott Sawmilling started with a series of ground mills in South Carolina; Andrews, Sullivans Island, Pawleys Island, Garnett, Ridgeland and Wiggins. At times, Richie's family, would stay with him at the mill site. Other times Richie would drive back and forth to home in Summerton, SC on a daily basis.
He was the third of four children born to Pauline Morrison and Roderick Miles Elliott. Richie, as he was known to family and friends, spent his formative years in Summerton, SC, and graduated from Summerton High School. After graduation, he attended Clemson College, later transferring to the University of South Carolina.

Easy to load. If trucks are lined back to scale, take 3rd driveway and turn around and park on street. Guard will tell you when to enter. Follow line to loading area. They load one truck at a time but 2 forklifts load. Very fast loading. There is no strap or tarp station. I have no idea where other reviewers got that info from. I strapped and tarped outside. 4x4 dunnage available for free

Elliot is now Canfor lumber. Pick up is usually really easy. Pull in park next to scale check in for lumber big house right next to scale. Straight back to line fork lift will tell how much donege. They load 4 at a time from one side and have free donege if you dont. Loaded pull ahead to strap. Tarp machine if needed. Check out then stop at guard. Will get crowded after lunch but great fork drivers usually move it along. Like if this was helpful. Thanks!
