Dr. Sara Riechers named her practice Compassionate Dentistry because that is what we are all about, compassion for our dental patients. We know that patients who come to visit us might be in pain or feeling anxious. Our staff of dental professionals want to do everything they can to relieve such distress, or even better, to prevent it from happening.

Finding a great family dentist in the Grants Pass-Medford area should be easy because so many are wonderful people and talented doctors. But how do you choose between them? As a parent, you want the best for your family and you need to be able to trust your dentist and her staff. Dr. Sara decided to move to Southern Oregon for the same reason you live here - it's a great place to raise a family.
When should you bring your children to the dentist? Many parents don't know that infants should be seen when they get their first tooth or by their 1st birthday at the latest. This visit is not only for the child, but also for the parents. Dr. Riechers will educate you about dental care for children, along with diet education and preparing for what to expect next.
We love to see our patients, but we don't enjoy seeing them in pain or stressing about how much dental treatment might cost. The foundation for preventing oral disease starts at home with good habits like brushing and flossing every day so that bacteria are removed from the tooth surface. Habits are formed early by children, so it is important that prevention be a family undertaking.

I’m so happy I “found” Dr. Riechers and the staff at Compassionate Dentistry.
They put my health first. Out of the last three dentists I’ve had, I feel Dr. Riechers and the staff at Compassionate Dentistry puts my health first, rather than figuring out a way to use up my entire annual dental benefit with questionable procedures.
They listen. My teeth are extremely sensitive to cold, and I told them that on my first visit. Guess what? They listened to me, and I am happy to report that I haven’t had any painful or anxiety-inducing moments during any cleanings or procedures where ice cold

I am beyond grateful for the quality dental work that Dr Sara has done for me. I have had a lot of dental work procedures done over my lifetime and she is the best by far, that I have ever experienced. Her assistant Melissa and frontline Bridgett are great as well. I highly recommend this team and I am pleased to know and say, that I have found my dental care provider for life.

My experience at compassionate dentistry was phenomenal. I was experiencing tooth pain upon waking up and the were able to get me in right away. The staff was incredibly friendly and followed all the covid procedures perfectly. Dr. Riechers was fantastic! She repaired a tooth for me that another dentist botched many years ago and left me feeling so much more confident in my smile! I would highly recommend compassionate dentistry to anyone looking for a dentist in the rogue valley. I’ve already scheduled future appointments at their office because I was so impressed.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Riechers yesterday and I couldn't recommend her & her staff more. Everyone was very kind, first and foremost. I went in because I had a somewhat traumatic experience with a previous dentist that didn't take care of me & put me in a lot of pain, and Sarah has already immensely improved that pain after 1 visit. I know I can trust her to be gentle and listen to me!

I took my son to Compassionate Dentistry to have 3 fillings filled. He was very anxious and nervous because he has had bad experiences in the past. The consultation went very well, he felt at ease and knew what the next visit would entail, his questions were answered and a plan was made. After his second visit to have his fillings filled, he said " This was the best dentist visit I've ever had!" From walking in the door to the procedure and walking out, the experience was wonderful. The staff is warm and welcoming and Dr. Riechers was gentle and kind. I highly recommend Dr. Riechers and her staff

Sara and the crew are wonderful. My girlfriend KG who was afraid of the dentist kinda gal just loves this dentist. I was the same way but just got a full check up and my tooth pulled and the news of future work needed. Do not be stupid like me and go see Sara. You will not be disappointed. The longer you wait the worse it gets.
