He received his DMD from Oregon Health Science University and maintained a successful private practice in the Portland, Oregon area for nearly 20 years. All implant patients should start their antibiotic regiment 1 day prior to surgery. Antibiotics are important in preventing infection. Your antibiotic will be called in to your preferred pharmacy 2 days prior to your surgery. Once you have picked up your antibiotic prescription, please take the first three doses on the day before your surgery.
Dental bone grafting is a minor surgical procedure that most people will never need with a healthy mouth. Unfortunately, anyone missing one or more teeth may likely end up needing a bone graft before dental implants can be done in order to support the new teeth. If I could give Dr Clark and his staff more than 5 stars, I would! I avoided dental work as much as possible for years (thanks to experiences with military dentistry) but this team renewed my faith in the field. They were very kind, compassionate and performed amazing work. I am very thankful to have had my implants done by them. They did two implants for me that I should have done years ago. My implant placement by Dr. Clark exceeded my expectation! After my initial consult with him, I knew I was in AMAZING hands. The trust and confidence was already created after the first consult! I did hours of research on him and could only find 5 star reviews. He developed the Whitecap Teaching Institute in Utah and mentors over 2000 dentists! He has been placing implants since the 80's! In a consulting session Dr. Clark laid out my options; we decided on a five-tooth bridge solution for my missing two tooth problem.
The extensive preparation and fitting of a temporary bridge went well, in spite of my unease whenever I sit in a dentist chair. Dr. Clark and his team are the best! I was nervous for my appointment but that all went away as soon as I walked into the office. Dr. Clark listened to my concerns, my dental needs and wants and answered all of my questions in detail. I was then presented with my options and they explained it in detail so I felt comfortable with which option we had decided on. Not once did I feel rushed nor did I feel embarrassed about my dental needs as I have in the past experiences.
