I contacted Dr. Carp because I was looking for a holistic approach to healing, using medication and therapy. It turned out to be an excellent decision. Before seeing Dr. Carp I had been under the care of a different psychiatrist who treated my anxiety solely with medications. Since I am very sensitive to medication in general, I did not think that treatment was working for me.
Dr. Carp is a thoughtful and multi-faceted professional. I have known her for a number of years and was always impressed by her ability and willingness to use varied theoretical orientations to make sense of a patient's presentation. Her knowledge of medical interventions combined with her ability to think and work therapeutically make her an excellent resource.
Dr. Carp offers a women's motivational group that is wonderfully supportive and enjoyable. She provides a relaxing, comfortable environment where women are able to share their thoughts, ideas and even have a few good laughs. Dr. Carp shared with us evidence-based articles, insights, inspirational quotes, that reaffirmed our goals to learn how to deal with stress and life events/stressors!

Incredibly unprofessional- she was always late and then on our second or third appointment she just never showed up. I literally never heard from her again, I sent her about four emails and then finally just sent her one asking to cancel all of our future appointments. I had run out of my prescription the day of this appt, thank goodness I was able to get an emergency refill until I found another doc.
Told me I was taking my medication early in the day which is why I’d get incredibly unwell at night and that I didn’t need to up my dosage, that I just needed to deal with the depression and

Incredibly un-professional. She was late to my video appointment and I had to email her to join. This appointment was a my first appointment with her and as I hadn't been to a Physiatrist in over 15 years I did not know how to approach it. She was very standoff-ish and did not see like she wanted to talk. After only 10 minutes, she said she was unable to help and when I was asking her if I was going to be charged, she hung up the video call. EXTREMELY un-professional.

Dr. Carp is an exceptional doctor, no matter your situation or your needs. I was apprehensive about starting medical interventions for my anxiety but Dr. Carp relieved all of my concerns. I was surprised to find a prescriber who spent time getting to know what my underlying issues were and how she could help to improve my quality of life both with and without medication. When I was ready to find a medication, Dr. Carp walked me through all of my options, laying out plans A, B, and C and involved me in the decision-making process. She was exceptionally responsive when I had concerns, saw me in her

Dr. Carp has been a great help to me. I'd been seeing a different therapist for almost 10 years before her--the kind of doctor who threw medication at me like a guinea pig. Thanks to that doctor's treatment I'm dependent on several medications that are not helping me at all. Dr. Carp immediately recognized the problems with my prescriptions, and has been very helpful and knowledgeable in transitioning me to medicine that can actually help me.
Interpersonally, Dr. Carp is warm, thoughtful, and funny. She's very caring and has offered me great encouragement. My only complaint is that we get into

Dr. Carp truly is amazing and has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life to date. I came to her a complete and utter mess back in the Fall and have been seeing her weekly ever since. I leave my appointments feeling empowered and at ease and never have I felt judged or uncomfortable in our sessions together.
Dr. Carp is wonderful at listening and explaining things to the finest detail and has such a beautiful way of communicating to ensure you feel heard. She has helped me find the right treatments for what I am going through and has taken the time to follow up with me to ensure

Dr. Carp is everything I needed in a Psychiatrist, she is warm, pleasant, funny, considerate, and compassionate...I could go on. I met Dr. Carp at the lowest point of my life. I've been working with Dr. Carp for four years now... keyword being working. It's never been one sided dialogue, she truly listens and offers her insight into helping me come to terms with my "pain" and focus on the here, the now, and the future. If you are not willing to put forth the effort in investing in yourself, no doctor will be able to help you (these days everyone expects instant results). The last four years have

Dr. Carp is the perfect blend of medical and holistic treatment. She is knowledgeable yet caring and I love that she not only prescribes but does talk therapy as well. I had been seeing a psychologist before I started with Dr. Carp and I had gotten to the point where I felt I needed the help of medicine. I didn’t want to give up all the progress I had made through my talk therapy, so Dr Carp was the perfect fit because she did both! I believe that having her know me more personally helped in the prescribing of the right medicines. And when something didn’t seem to work with a certain medication

There's a reason she's the only psychiatrist in a 10-mile radius with availability. I don't want to spend more time on this woman than I already have, but let's just say it's scary that her profession puts her in a position to effect people's psyches. She did a number on mine, and I was only trying to help my son --- I wasn't even the patient. Her on-line appt. scheduling is such that she doesn't always know when you've cancelled.... so she accuses you of a no-show and says "that's not nice to do to a doctor" --even after she is shown

I don't write many reviews, but this woman has an ego and is completely unprofessional, rude and insulting. Mental health professionals like her are very dangerous to a patient who is very vulnerable and needs help, not BS! I always research my potential doctors but I let my guard down and did not with her. Buyer beware!

We are extremely pleased with Dr. Carp. She is a very outgoing and friendly. My daughter really identifies with her and finds her extremely easy to talk to. She has put a lot of effort into making her office very comfortable and cozy, and is just as thorough at explaining how my daughters medication works and finding something that is a better fit. We are really happy and are grateful we found her.

Dr Carp has been a godsend! It was so difficult for me to find a psychiatrist for my 16 year old daughter, seems like hardly anyone is taking new patients or they are only seeing patients from a particular PCP, and then the clouds parted and there was a ray of shine and it was Dr Carp! My daughter absolutely adores her and her self confidence has SOARED since their sessions began. On the few sessions I sat in on, I was incredibly impressed by Dr C's insights and perspectives. I believe my relationship with my daughter has streghthened through these visits. She is always totally professional and

You should go to this woman if you want to come out feeling worse about yourself. Unempathetic, unsympathetic and a horrible listener. More interested in peddling her own propaganda rather than actively trying to help people. She was late to my meeting with her and I knew after one meeting that this woman is a quack. Run away and avoid at all costs. I looked at reviews before I went to her thinking that the only people who review are the ones with bad experiences but I can tell you that they are all accurate.

I was in the waiting room early because I didn't get a chance to fill out my paper work. She forgot to turn on the white noise and I heard everything that was said in her paper thin walls. She ran 15 minutes late. When I asked her for the paperwork she said she didn't have any forms on hand so I gave her the pertinent information to get paid.
Warning: When you go in to your initial appointment, do not spill your guts! Realize that she is actually interviewing you! When I opened up about my life crisis, we really seemed to connect. After she sent me numerous texts and emails telling

If I could leave negative stars, I would. As expected, we signed the agreement regarding appointment cancellations. SHE however doesn't keep to the same rule. Didn't show up for a scheduled appointment and blamed the system for it. Refuses to give us credit for it even though her policy demands payment if we are a no-show. That's not the worst of it....completely unprofessional and texted my daughter for payment. She's a minor FFS!!

Most unprofessional mental health provider we have ever seen. She interrupted my daughter constantly, talked at length about her own childhood experiences, and when my daughter stood up for herself and asked to be able to speak without interruption during her session, she suggested we increase my daughter's medication. Later I left a negative review on google and she threatened me in a slew of emails. I am divorced and living in another country and she was hinting at getting child care services to investigate our family. Absolutely shocking that she would go to those lengths. She was scary

Dr. Carp is a phenomenal "family oriented" psychiatrist. After searching near and far for the right practitioner for my family's needs, we were so lucky to have found her and don't mind travelling 40 minutes to see her! Within the first few moments of our initial session she shared with us her education, her philosophy and her enthusiasm for working with families. As a family we all felt as if our concerns were heard and considered. We always leave our sessions with new tools in our virtual toolkit to apply to life's challenges. Dr. Carp takes as much time as needed to identify if medication is

Stay away. If you enjoy waiting (once she showed up over 1/2 late for a first appt). Other times we waited an average of 20-30 min. If you go a minute over she informs you she will have to charge the insurance for two appointments. The vast majority of our "therapy" was listening to her own life experiences....not ours. This became the norm, so after 4 appointments, we discontinued her services.

Dr. Carp is a compassionate doctor who truly wants to help. She takes you through each session with ease and is able to provide insights on how to cope with certain issues and deal with difficult situations. The most valuable part of treatment with Dr. Carp is that she really does have so much helpful information to share and she helps get you to a place where you feel completely confident in taking on the future.

Very hard to find a good doctor in this field. We filled out all necessary paperwork required by Dr. Carp. Also signed the cancellation policy which states a 48 hour notice must be given prior to appointment cancellations. This form also explained that If you cancel a Monday appointment, you must call the office by the Thursday prior to the appointment as Saturday and Sunday are omitted from the 48 hour terms. That being said, our first appointment was scheduled at noon on a Thursday. As I sat in the waiting area near Dr. Carp's office, I received an email from her explaining that she
