Unlike most accommodations in Maggie Valley, Creekwood Village sits back off the main road far enough to have the sounds of the creek as are background instead of road noise. If you're coming for a festival or event, we are right behind the Festival Grounds giving you walking access so you can park your car and leave it behind.
Your host, Sonja Michels, takes great pride in offering comfortable and spacious lodging in a peaceful creekside location. Maggie Valley is a special place where nature comes to your doorstep. With the Plott Balsam range on one side and the Cataloochee Divide on the other, Maggie Valley sports a true, balanced four season climate. The surrounding mountains reach over 5,000 feet while the valley below is at 3,200 feet. Summers are cool with highs barely reaching 80 degrees and winters cool enough to make Cataloochee Ski Area a popular attraction in the winter.
Creekwood Village Resort offers the angler access to some of the greatest trout fishing on the east coast. We have stocked ponds, and access to Jonathan Creek, A North Carolina Heritage Trout Water. If you would like more of a challenge, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is within minutes and the famed stocked creeks and rivers of Cherokee Indian Reservation are also less than 30 minutes away.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park borders Maggie Valley to the north. One of the most visited park in the country behind only the Blue Ridge Parkway and Yellowstone, access is limited by only a few roads. The best way to see the parks wonders is to get out the hiking shoes and set up on a trail.
This is one road that should be on everyones must see list. Its a windy, curvy auto trail leading from Cherokee NC all the way to Northern Virginia. Go as far as you want, then turn around and come back and views from the other direction makes it like a whole differnt drive. Highest point on the Parkway: Just over 6050 feet in elevation, its all downhill from here.

We contacted this resort after the owner of another resort told us about it. we booked two cabins and once we arrived, we felt the cabins were in a great location, also the little pond behind the cabins was nice. The check in process was quick, but the smell of nicotine in the office was overwhelming. we were given linens to use in our cabins but they smelled of strong cigarette smoke, since they were kept in a closet in the main office. also the kitchen in each cabin was lacking basic essentials, spoons, forks, plates and cooking utensils.
Although we enjoyed the trip, we felt like the owner

Clean quiet little place. Just needs updated. The beds, furniture wasn't comfortable at all. Kitchen needs to be fully furnished. We was on a little getaway but still like to cook. The pots and pans was old and everything wanted to stick. We made it work. The people was nice. But for the money we paid it should be a comfortable place to lay your head and chill on a couch.

Enjoyed spending our 1st anniversary at Creekwood Village Resort in Maggie Valley, NC in 2016 in there honeymoon cabin. The views are beautiful, the cabin is clean cozy, & romantic, & the staff is very friendly & helpful. Our air conditioner stopped working the 1st day we were here. They quickly came & tried to fix it. They were not able to at the time but they quickly took the air conditioner out of their own house & let us use it.
