While nobody wants to think about death or disability, establishing an estate plan is one of the most important steps you can take to protect yourself and your loved ones. Proper estate planning not only puts you in charge of your finances, it can also spare your loved ones of the expense, delay and frustration associated with managing your affairs when you pass away or become disabled.
When a loved one passes away without a fully-funded living trust, his or her estate often goes through a court-managed process called probate or estate administration where the assets of the deceased are managed and distributed.
If your loved-one owned his or her assets through a well drafted and properly funded living trust, it is likely that no court-managed administration is necessary, though the successor trustee needs to administer the distribution of the deceased's assets. The length of time needed to complete the probate of an estate depends on the size and complexity of the estate and the local rules and schedule of the probate court.

If you are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces--firstly, we want to give our thanks! Secondly, we want to ask you: Are you taking full advantage of your Veteran's Benefits? Other reports in 2011 and 2010 also point to failures of the Veterans Administration to provide sufficient education to Veterans about the benefits to which they are entitled.
The Littorno Law Group has provided comprehensive estate planning services to members of many prepaid legal plans for over twenty years. Most prepaid legal plans (even if their "full coverage") provide for only a limited number of estate planning forms (see * items below). We used Littorno law to create a family trust to support my Mom after my farther passing. They helped us to get the survivors benefits for my Mom that we just had such a herd time to get for my father. When we moved mom and the VA was going to revoke the benefits, Angela at Littorno helped us again to get everything just right to the VA and restored the support. They have been great to have as our trust advocates. B.Meyers

We had a very good experience with Richard and his team in the preparation of a living trust for my wife and I. We were connected with them through the group legal plan offered by my employer which covered most of the costs. The process was very easy and Richard was even willing to meet my wife and i in Benicia to sign our documents so that we wouldnt have to drive all the way to Pittsburg. They delivered a very thorough estate plan including living trust, durable power of attorney, advanced health care directive, and even took care of recording our property with the county. Would definitely use

The Littorno group helped my family with my mom's Medi-Cal application and I don't think we could've done it without their help. Calley was amazing, she was, caring, attentive and knowledgeable, I appreciate all of her help and support through a very difficult process. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family, everyone I talked to was very helpful.

Incredible experience and a great process! We had no idea what to expect as we started our search for a lawyer to help my wife and I create our family Trust. After conducting interviews with other lawyers and being disappointed, Littorno Law was so refreshing and helpful. The initial phone meeting was a great foundation and the online interview process was super helpful. The end results are exactly what my wife and I wanted. We cannot be more pleased with Littorno Law! Thank you!!

Let me just start by saying this - WOW!!! Atty Littorno and his paralegal Calley are the bomb! They really are the best!
My husband and (actually, I - Gayle) have been putting off our estate planning for a few years now for a number of reasons - no time, other people's feedback that it's a tedious process, the exorbitant fees, etc etc. However, COVID has been a serious wake-up call that we need to have our matters in place in case something happens, God forbid, to one or worse, both of us.
So ever the OCD, I started doing the research. The fees of other law offices were steep, but I

Rich Littorno tried to handle a family trust case , all be it , it was a cluster F , his attention to his clients needs were slow responses and not listening. He was more concerned with his own ego "being the lawyer " than just taking care of his client. I fired him due to the above reason . In my opinion he needed to retire !

I have been reluctant to review Mr. Littorno and his firm but I have to say my experience has been horrible. They were recommended to us by the memory care facility where my mother lived. She had Alzheimer's and we were trying to get her set up with some veterans' benefits. It seems as if they are more interested in getting the $5000 fee for setting it up and then selling their annuities, once they received both of those their service was uncommunicative and incompetent. After my mother's death we found out that the annuity that Littorno had set up was cashed out at a significantly
