They have an excellent inventory of hardware, equipment, grilling tools, and charcoal. Their customer service is consistently outstanding! Also, they help the community and support local businesses.

Michael is awesome!! Spent like 30 minutes helping me diagnose my plumbing problem. Got me the correct part which I was able to install in about 5 minutes, successfully stopping a pretty significant leak. He was just amazing and knowledgeable and took the time to make sure I got what I needed! I am so thankful he was there... give that man a raise!!

Great old fashioned service as well as advice on how to accomplish your home projects. Always a real person to answer your question. You pay a bit more than the big box stores.

Strosniders still feels like your neighborhood stop and shop place where friendly faces greet and help you with your hardware needs. They have a wide variety and you cannot beat their customer service. I prefer a trip to Strosniders before any big superstore any day.

I like doing business with Strosnider's for a number of reasons, but the primary is service. They always have several people available to help you find what you're looking for, and to give advice when you're working on a project. They have a satisfactory selection of inventory, good quality, and they're local, so I can go to them when I need a box of wood screws late in the day. Lastly, their staff are friendly and polite. I definitely recommend them if you need materials for every chores or small projects.

Great selection of products and fun to shop here. However if you decide to make a purchase, bring a book, or pre download a podcast for waiting in line. Apparently I chose to come here on every employees first day on the job.
1 return took the only 3 cashiers working this day, with 4 customers waiting over 9 minutes to check out.
I'm unable to determine how much longer the other customers waited because 9 minutes was way over my waiting quota.
This was second visit here with my first being a fail due to them not stocking red spray paint.

This is a truly fantastic store. I have been going here for over 10 years. Quite a bit over the past 2 to 3 years. I am always amazed at both the number of employees in the store and how helpful they tend to be. A lot of the folks working there have been at this location for a very long time, which of course is a good sign since it means workers want to stay there. And it's great for customers since they become very knowledgeable. I was only inside for 7 or 8 minutes and I must have been asked by half a dozen employees if they could help me with anything. Big Bill is the guy who helped me. He WAS A LIFESAVER! Marvelous guy - he won't leave you until you find a solution to your problem. To the owner of this store - BILL IS A GEM! He is a keeper and great role model for your employees!!!! Cheers!!!!

They are simply the best. The sales staff is so knowledgeable that they actually can articulate your issue before you can explain it. So helpful. You will never find this kind of help at Home Depot or Lowe's.

Had a great experience at this place. Called to get to see if items were in stock. I spoke to Rick, he was kind enough to bring the [11] items up front to do curbside pick up. I decided to go inside and there I had my items ready, I needed a few more things and was helped by Essian, he noticed that I picked up sone items that were not on sale and went back to get the correct ones while I checked out, he walked to my car and loaded all my heavy items (20 pds. plus). The whole transaction was smooth and quick.
This is a bigger store than others and has plenty of your hardware needs and then some

Strosniders continues to impress. Everytime we bring in a home repair issue, they help figure out how to fix it right. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and solution oriented. Plumbing, painting,, locks, lamp repair, A to Z, they do it all. It is like having a bunch of cool grandpas and grandma's to get you off on a good start. Don't care that the price might be higher than Amazon or Home Depot. Strosnider's gives their customers value-added advice and quality of service like no where else.

Came in for toilet part and auto fuses. Couldn't find fuses. Said excuse me to first guy standing still at the end of the electrical aisle. He said "I'm busy. Find someone else." Found second guy, who sent me to a aisle that didn't have any auto fuses

I ended up buying the toilet part for 25% more than Home Depot. I'll will find someone else, but he or she will have an orange apron instead of a red vest.

Over the past 3 years I have lived or worked pretty close by. This meaning I stop in from time to time just to pick things up for my business or for the home. Every single time Ive been in Strosniders I have worse service, less help, and more uncomfortable situations. No one ever seems to want to take the time to help me or answer questions.

My experience today had me leaving and planning to never go to this store again. These employees need some serious training on how to help and treat customers. After being talked down to and treated like

I visited the store twice since the conversion from Hardware City to Strosniders Ace Hardware. The renovation is breathtaking! And what used to be a very cluttered space, that always appeared filthy, they have opened up the floor , the place up, installed industrial-grade vinyl flooring to make it more inviting to the customer, streamlined the entry and exit experience by making a single line for many different registers, which really lends itself to a fantastic in and out experience when you're trying to pick something up. Strosniders in Potomac is my "go to" store for everything one could want in a hardware store. The paint department is the very best in town. The staff customer service are nothing short of the finest you will find anywhere! I heartily recommend this shop for everything from paint to lighting to gardening to everything one needs for home maintenance, repair and construction. Shout out to Shaun! He has saved me more times than I can count! The best team ever!

Do not recommend this store. Store managers are liars and rip you off without feeling guilt. Things are double or more price than Homedepot.

Strosniders has the most knowledgable and friendly staff in the area. The place is on the small side but packed with everything one would need to do any diy projects. It is conveniently located in Bethesda on Arlington Boulevard.

I am writing to give the highest praise possible to Strosniders generally, and one of their employees, specifically. Chuck at the Bethesda location is amazing. He helped me on a very complicated project and made everything easy. He added real value to the project and was phenomenally nice to boot. Thank you, Chuck, for making things so easy!!

This place is great. Helpful, knowledgeable is always available. Selection is very good. Prices are good too. They always have what I need, parking is available and free, the locations great. They really take customer service seriously, and it shows.
I will skip the big box home stores every time to come here instead.

I was in a rush to get some supplies for a handyman who was working at our house. I couldn't believe how helpful the associates were in helping me locate what I needed, select the right items and get out the door quickly. Thanks Strosniders, I will definitely be back!

One of the best stocked hardware stores in Bethesda, Strosniders has a little of everything and something for everyone. Paint to gardening supplies to (of course) hardware to kitchen and bath supplies to grills etc. Staff are friendly and responsive, and easy to find when you need to ask a question.

I visited Strosnider's Bethesda Store for the first time (11/4/17).
A neighbor recommended them. I needed a towel bar for the bathroom & needed it cut to order. Strosnider's had the appropriate towel bar & cut it to order for a nominal fee. The store is stocked floor to ceiling w/household & fix it items & knowledge staff to help you decide what best suits your project(s). Great Customer Service.

I've shopped at Strosnider's a long time and am happy to support a local business over a big box or online store. So, we went there today wanting to replace our incandescent kitchen floodlights with LEDs and get one halogen bulb.

We had to hunt down some help (everyone was playing with 2 standard poodles). The first guy wasn't sure what LED bulb was equivalent to what we needed. The second guy handed us something the wrong size. We pointed out that it was the wrong size and he handed us something else that was the wrong wattage. Until now, I haven't been here since they opened a location close to my home in Downtown Silver Spring. I chose to Coe for a customer appreciation night on the lure of free chocolate chip cookies. :)

Man, was it packed! The event started at 6:30 (after hours), but must have began before they closed because the parking lot was jammed at 6:40.

As for the store itself, they have everything a homeowner needs. Can't judge the customer service based on this visit because they were busy running around. Prices are higher for gadgets you can buy at BB&B with a 20% off coupon, like
