Founded in Chicago in 1924, Ace Hardware Corporation has grown to become America's neighborhood hardware retailer. Over the years, we've built the brand from a small group of hardware stores to a network of more than 4,800 locations across the globe. Unlike a franchise or chain, Ace's mission is to provide support and good product pricing to a growing number of independent hardware retailers.

As a local business, we like to support other local businesses. Our free business account program allows local businesses to shop the supplies they need from the convenience of their local hardware store.

Business accounts can shop from the 100,000+ items on our shelves, or work with our dedicated B2B accounts team to find those items that are not in our stores- from bulk orders of industrial cleaning supplies to food service containers or retrofitting your business with LEDs, we can help you find the supplies you need for your business to succeed.

We are proud to support local nonprofits in the DC/Baltimore metro areas through several year-long campaigns and partnerships, including product donations, store events, and in store fundraising. As a locally owned business, we are only able to support nonprofits and initiatives within close proximity to our stores.

A Few Cool Hardware Stores is independently owned and operated, with 13 stores in the Washington DC and Baltimore metro areas. Our stores are community focused and reflect their urban locales. Our Mission is to live our Core Values in a way that will best impacts and empowers our employees, our customers, and our communities.

Located on Light Street in the historic Baltimore neighborhood of Federal Hill, Federal Hill Ace Hardware has over 10,000 square feet of retail space and a convenient customer parking lot. The new 3,500 square foot store annex offers thousands of boutique items customized for the neighborhood, including housewares, cooking supplies, all natural cleaning products, arts & craft supplies, and Benjamin Moore paints.
