Services
To become a credit union member, open a primary savings account with a minimum deposit of $13.00. A savings account established for attorneys to deposit funds and generate appropriate levels of revenue to provide legal services to low income citizens. A minimum deposit of $12.00 is required. Dividends are paid monthly on the account's average daily balance.
You can make deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and more at several local credit unions to your Mountain Star account. Credit Union Service Corporation is the premier credit union owned network that enables credit unions to provide their members with transaction services at multiple locations.
The Iolta checking account was established for attorneys to deposits funds and generate appropriate levels of revenue to provide legal services to low income citizens. Dividends are paid monthly on the account's average daily balance. There are NO monthly or transaction fees as long as you maintain the minimum balance of $2,500.00.

I had spoken to Jackie and she said she was going to email me so I can send her the documents needed. I never received the email. I decided to apply online, she then asked for my pay stubs the next day and didn’t hear from her anymore. I had to call & ask for the status. Never doing any business with them in the future.

I asked a former credit union vice president about selecting a credit union because I was going to bank my funds in El Paso and wanted a membership based credit union instead of a bank. Before choosing an El Paso Credit Union, I visited 4 credit unions personally. I spoke with the new account representatives, called a few people about credit unions and selected Mountain Star. It is a small but very efficient CU. Outstanding customer service, personable and a shared branch credit union which means they have the capacity to share branch with share branch networks throughout the nation and Texas. Very convenient if you have an account in El Paso and Austin or other cities. I love my credit union. Membership based is the way !!!
