For Generations Rockhill Orthopaedics has delivered quality care for the greater Kansas City metro area. Rockhill's long history of excellence began in 1949 during the postwar prosperity of the United States. Founded by a group of six orthopaedic surgeons it was originally located in the Rockhill neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri near the former Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Rockhill Orthopaedics delivers a broad range of orthopedic care by our team of specialized providers. Our orthopedic practice has 12 board-certified orthopedic surgeons, three board-certified physiatrists and eight mid-level providers. Rounding out the staff is a group of 80 caring and compassionate employees.
Larry Frevert, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a lifelong passion for sports medicine. As a former athlete, Dr. Frevert more easily relates to his patients desire to return to play. Dr. Frevert received his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Texas Christian University.
After obtaining his medical degree from University of Missouri - Columbia School of Medicine, he completed residency training in Orthopaedics at the University of Arkansas-Medical Sciences.Dr. Frevert was selected for Suraj Ahuja Teacher of the Year Award in 2003, was chosen for the All American Academic Team and received an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship Award.

Dr. Go is a board certified general orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Fracture Care, General Orthopedics and sports medicine. Dr. Go began his career as an OR Nurse who was drawn to orthopedic surgery. He returned to medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon, with a specialty of general orthopedics, as it encompasses a vast number of orthopedic conditions as well as surgical and nonsurgical ways to treat them.

Had back pains for 3 years, went into Tillman? and he examined my back as the free school clinics do when I was in grad school. He said I was too young for back issues and have a good day....???!!! Here I am- still in pain and seeking a true evaluation. I called today to set up appt, but since I have seen Tillman before, he's the one I have to see--- 2 months is his next appt. I feel as though a herniated disc cannot wait that long so NEW DOCTOR I go. If you want to get a diagnosis and not a back rub--go somewhere else! Rockhill needs to get a clue

Lied to by staff. Went into the urgent care for shoulder and neck pain. The person at the front desk said they don't see people for neck issues, but their website specifically states "spine and neck conditions." Staff said that my insurance was accepted, but I later learned that was not true. They called days later informing me that my follow-up visit would not be covered. They prescribed me insanely priced medication and didn't properly address my concerns about side effects. Billing department never answered or called me back. Also, the St. Luke's Physician Patient Accounts Customer Service lied

I want to recognize the Excellent customer service skills of Patient Accounts Representative, Della, no last names, of course. After 3 conversations with others in the office with no results, Della answered my call. Della's sweet voice set the tone for the call. Della was attentive to my questions and requests and offered to submit my request with detail to whomever makes decisions regarding payment due Or Not. In my case, the visit and payment was covered in 'surgery after care'. Della succinctly explained this to whomever and the charge was removed and the situation was satisfactorily resolved

Went in post fall under direction of ER docs. Receptionist nice, kind of took awhile, but what doesn't. Was in the waiting room for a short period, in room for 20 when doctor came in. Pretty much dismissed anything, so I got the hint straight away and just wanted the appointment to end. It did and I was on my way. Went home and checked after visit notes. For absolutely no reason, the doctor wrote somewhat obese for her height. No, really? Is that something an orthopedic doc needs to state when we exchanged 6 words and 4 arm movements? I've been to a doctor for being fat and this was not even in

Dr. Amar Patel is fabulous! I tore a ligament in my left ankle and he was conservative in his treatment plan. We tried various alternatives to help my ankle before even discussing the possibility of surgery. Ultimately, I did need surgery. Dr. Patel has a great bedside manner, explains all process thoroughly, and takes the time to answer my questions without giving the appearance of being in a hurry. Thank you Dr. Patel!

I would give 10 stars for this group.
I had a total knee done in November last year. The procedure was non-evasive and recovery was quick. Dr. Hellman is so well trained and talented. I had been waiting to find the best surgeon and happy to say after twenty years I found him. He was through when explaining what was needed and the procedure. I went home from the hospital the next day. I was up and managing the stairs and therapy, by the third month completely healed. So, next is talked to Dr. Hellman about my hip, same leg. This year I let Dr. Hellman and his PA, Austin, do my hip replacement.

I could have chosen form many other orthopedic offices in the Kansas City region.
From the moment I checked in for the first time, the whole experience went very smoothly and the doctor and all staff were helpful, professional and caring.
I recommend this practice very highly.
I feel like I am in very capable hands with Dr. Maugans, Dr. Zonoo, & Dr. W. Frevert and the staff.
They even worked with my work compensation.
I definitely recommend this group to anyone who ask me about area orthopedic specialist.
