Hotel Trundle, in addition to the quirky atmosphere and individualized rooms, has a great staff. The receptionist, Shay, made it clear that she was at our beck-and-call. She always had a chipper attitude and a genuine smile that were quite reassuring about anything we may have needed. I hope we get to stay here again soon!

F+ : Lost my luggage on my wedding night and have not returned my calls.
They lost my luggage on my wedding night and didn't find it until 8 am the next day. Me and my wife left our reception and the bags I had dropped off that morning were not in the room. The front desk employee couldn't reach anyone who had worked the day shift and knew where my luggage was. We had no change of clothes, no tooth brushes, literally nothing but what we had worn to our wedding. I spent my wedding night trying to track down our luggage and that is absolutely unacceptable. I don’t know why I didn’t stay here sooner. Hotel Trundle is just amazing. Hotel staff were all so friendly (I called multiple times to update my reservation due to a delayed flight). I appreciate the history that is preserved in the building and all the thoughtful and playful elements throughout the hotel. The room is spacious and welcoming. I’ll be back again for sure next time I’m in town.

TLDR: Nice hotel, incompetent customer service.
I paid for a room during my stay in Columbia last weekend (August 14-15). I stayed in the room with my mom as one last vacation before we had to go back to work (in addition to me starting graduate school). The hotel is beautiful. We loved the theme as well as the room. The hotel is downtown right across from a hospital, so there were unfortunately lots of sirens. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk was friendly, but perhaps too friendly as one of her friends came in during my check-in and they had a conversation while I waited for my

Such a cute and fun hotel. And what made it the best was SHAY at the front desk. She was so kind and helpful. So friendly and attentive to us and our kids!!
Such a warm welcome and great info on the area and places to eat and visit. She’s a gem! One of the best hotel staff I’ve ever met.
Oh and the hotel was cool too. 😉 fun art and unique cozy feel. Highly recommend.
Did I tell you how great Shay is!?

Amazing experience at Hotel Trundle. Our room was the double queen bed. Hotel had great mix of modern vintage charm. Hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious. We even got a choice of a free beer or wine at check-in...I mean come on...that's amazing! Valet parking was worth the money. Location is nicely placed downtown Columbia. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Service and cleanliness- 5 stars.
After checking into our room, I took a quick nap on the very comfortable bed. An hour later we could hear people talking loud in the hall. We were at the end of the first floor so I guess there were a lot of patrons walking by at all hours. Next, the toilet was so high, it was most uncomfortable. Honestly I think the price was a bit high for a noisy room.

We were staying for a slightly extended weekend in Columbia and wanted to stay downtown. I chose this hotel based on price, convenience, the included breakfast, and its generally good reviews.
I called ahead to find out about parking. It sounds like in normal (non-Covid) times, they may just have valet parking. However, now it is self-parking (which I actually prefer). You can either park in the lot adjacent to the hotel or, if it is full, pay $10 a day to park in a public garage across the street.
We arrived around 3:30 p.m. on a Thursday. Check-in was easy; they have about 3 spots in front

I'm still staying here but just couldn't wait to write a rave review. After getting the best greeting of my life from Shay when I arrived, I got my complimentary sparkling rosé and brought it to my room. Exposed white brick, high ceilings, velvet backboard, gorgeous lighting - it is my personal dream spot. There's coffee in the room but they also serve local coffee in the lobby, which is a nice touch. They've also done an excellent job with Covid regulations. I am loving every minute being here and highly recommend you book your stay here over anywhere else in Columbia.

I stayed there one night. Very nice boutique style hotel.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Late check out available. They also have their own parking lot for $10 a day.
Because of the Covid the hotel was very empty. They normally offer some more breakfast items but due to Covid the breakfast bar was limited to granola bars, cereal and coffee.
Overall it was a good experience.

We stayed at Hotel Trundle for 2 nights in July 2020, aka mid-COVID. Every surface, linen, and amenity was absolutely spotless. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating to my partner and I who had experienced a travel day from Hell - shout out to Shay at the front desk who went completely out of her way during the night shift to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. The hotel itself is gorgeous! It's so funky and there is truly no other space like it in the city. I'd had my eye on staying here for years, and when we finally got the chance

I love this cool boutique hotel! It's perfectly decorated and everywhere you look there are unique historic touches. Our room features the old elevator shaft which is a fun place to sit and read. The service here is super friendly! There is a bar at the hotel lobby with great local beers and wine. The turndown service includes caramel corn! Decorations in the room include retro 50's style microwave and refrigerator. The location is perfectly close to the Columbia Art Museum and an easy walk to fun restaurants. So glad we chose this place!

Wanted something other than a chain hotel and this fit the bill perfectly - it was a bit quirky, charming, and historic with modern furnishings. I'm glad we got the King Suite, though it wasn't huge, it was definitely more spacious than the tiny standard rooms. The bathroom was elegantly decorated with white and gray tile and it was super spacious with double sinks and a separate shower/bath. Sleep came easy in the comfortable bed with crisp fresh linens. The staff was unobtrusive but graciously made our stay comfortable and welcome. We did not partake in the continental breakfast

I'd like to start by saying this hotel is awesome. We stay in hotels a lot and it's one of the best. It's beautiful. It's fun to look at. The design concept and decor is smart and unique. The staff is the bees knees. The beds are comfortable and clean. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat.
That being said, there is one problem.
I came into town with two teens for a multi day sports tournament that we had to get up early for.
Around 11 we turned down the lights and started to doze off. Then it happened. The neighbors next door checked in.
