If you always wanted straighter teeth, but dreaded the idea of a traditional braces, Invisalign is the solution for you. These wonderfully invisible aligners are elegantly transparent! Starting orthodontic treatment as early as age 7 is rare, but can set your little one up for success. Early evaluation provides both timely detection of problems and greater opportunity for more effective treatment.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to patient comfort and Dr. Oakes uses these items on a daily basis to make sure that each patient has a comfortable, rewarding experience.
ITero Scan for Invisalign - Initial scan can take place same day and their aligners will usually arrive in about 2 weeks. Invisalign Vivera Retainers - Initial scan can take place the same day and they also take about 2 weeks to arrive. Clear Retainers - The impression that is taken for a mold of your teeth as well as the actual process of making the retainer takes about 30-45 minutes.
Straightening your teeth has now become more convenient and discreet than ever, thanks to clear aligners. After taking scans of your current teeth alignment, a series of clear aligners will be created to quickly and effectively move your teeth for a straighter smile. These aligners should be worn at all times but can be removed for eating and brushing.
Though an orthodontist can enhance a smile at any age, there is an optimal time period to begin treatment. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that the initial orthodontic evaluation should occur at the first sign of orthodontic problems or no later than age 7. At this early age, orthodontic treatment may not be necessary, but vigilant examination can anticipate the most advantageous time to begin treatment.

I have been going here for almost two years now & I absolutely love going, I always look forward to my appointments every two weeks! I mainly love going to WOW orthodontist because of the friendly & welcoming atmosphere! Every time I walk in I'm always greeted with smiles & positive vibes!

I came for a consult on my retainers...everything from my initial call to the appointment was just so easy, pleasant and informative. These ladies have it together!!! The doctor was so incredibly down to Earth, a great listener, an experienced advisor and all around caring person. Dr. Wendy gave my daughter such good Orthodontic care! She made sure to do what was very best for her teeth and smile. Other doctors considered implants and building up teeth, but Dr. Wendy knew my daughter's smile would be so naturally beautiful by straightening her teeth and aligning her bite properly and conservatively. She gave us such good attention, we felt like family. We also never had to wait on receiving service. Dr. Oaks and her team are such amazing people !!! Love them all. I especially love that it's all women who works there & that the actual doctor is a Woman, nothing is more refreshing than seeing a female Doctor as a dentist. #WomanEmpowerment. I took my 9 year old son for his first appointment with Dr. Oakes and we could not have had a better experience all the way around. The staff was so welcoming and personable. Dr. Oakes and team are the best! They always take great care of my teeth/braces, but they always go an extra mile. Cookies after an appointment are so kind! They remember where I work, ask questions to get to know me more, and are so kind and encouraging. And if other patients are there, they bring us all together in conversation so it's not uncomfortable that you're in a room with strangers. There are not enough stars to tell you how much we love Dr. Oakes. My daughter has sensory integration dysfunction and in the past, even haircuts have been very stressful so we waited on orthodontics until she was 13 (which was a good decision for us). We consulted with other orthodontists prior to meeting Dr. Oakes but one had scary-looking equipment in the consultation room and proposed a procedure that didn't sound like fun (filing her teeth down to make more room?!). It seems that orthodontists are on every corner . I am not 13 years old and seeking braces for the first time and the questions and concerns I had with my teeth we're definitely age related. Wendy at WOW orthodontics in Brentwood Tennessee blew me away with her dental,aesthetic, cosmetic knowledge . The passion and real concern she has for her patients and their results are sincere . Dr. Wendy Oakes Wilhelm and her team at WOW Orthodontics are fantastic! They are able to get you in to the office quickly, schedule follow-up appointments quickly, and are both professional and friendly. WOW offers the most up to date services in a clean and stylish office environment. Dr. Wilhelm and her staff will meet your needs without any pressure to buy unwarrented procedures/appliances. We have completed one round of braces, and will begin the second round soon. We would not think of going anywhere else for our family's orthodontic needs!

Dr. Wendy Oakes is a top-notch orthodontist; she is talented, caring, and honest. Unlike a lot of medical professionals in today's world (school loans, rising rent, employee salaries), she doesn't sell-sell-sell, even if it means affecting her bottom line. The office is well run with great help (no rude, harried receptionists here). Behind her are years of experience (her youthful looks belie her true age) treating a diverse clientele of patients (youth, adults, different ethnicities [yes, teeth can vary by race]).
