Telepsychiatry visits are conducted via end-to-end encrypted video conferencing software that is HIPAA compliant.
Communications are confidential and generally no information will be released without your consent. Exceptions: By law, I am required to report suspected child or elder abuse, domestic violence, and take action when a patient is considered to be a danger to themselves or to others. Dr. Lin is not a provider for any insurance companies and provides "out-of-network", fee-for-service care.
Medications do not work the same for everyone. Your DNA (genetic makeup) influences the way your body responds to various medicines. If you are taking a medication that is not a good "match" for your genes, it could increase your chances of unwanted side effects, or you could be taking a medication that is not as effective for you.

We were referred to Dr. Lin by our pediatrician and my daughter's therapist and we could not be more thankful for the excellent care she has provided to our family. Dr. Lin is a major part of the story of who and what saved my life 6 years ago. She trusted me enough to support me in my decision to be off of anything pharmaceutical or otherwise while I was getting all the alcohol and drug abuse out of my system, it gave me confidence that maybe I could begin to trust me too. I have been sober since with zero instances of relapse. In the past 6+ years I went from sleeping in someone's garage, to working my way to a salaried upper-management role, married and buying a home. I don't drink, smoke, nicotine, drugs (unless prescribed by a doctor and only as directed
