I visited Gem for the first time this weekend and I am so glad that I did. Miranda was amazing. I enjoyed every minute and left feeling beautiful and relaxed. Today is day two and my skin looks great! Miranda treated me for some blemishes + fine lines plus dryness. I see a difference already. I have my next appt booked already.

I had a text reminder a few days ago to confirm my appointment. I came into my appointment today and the spa was closed. I did not receive a call informing me of this and no one answered the phone. I reached a voicemail stating the spa was closed due to covid. Whoever owns this spa please reach out to me would love an explanation.
**Update, I received a text later in the evening from my Esthetician. I have been rescheduled to February. I recommend calling the office line or your esthetician to reschedule. I returned one star.

Experience: I had my first skin treatment with Sarah, the lead therapist, this week and it was amazing! My treatment included a Mandelic Acid Peel, a Pumpkin Enzyme Peel which smelled heavenly, Diamond Microdermabrasion, Extractions (I didn't even know I needed them, but she got in there), and an IG-worthy Hydrojelly mask that left my skin smooth, supple, and hydrated. Sarah, also gave me a relaxing scalp, neck, and arm massage with coconut oil, yum! While relatively new to the industry (1 year), Sarah is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my ingredient and modality questions

I've been calling and have left messages trying to schedules appointment for my friend and myself and they do NOT RESPOND! I see on yelp that I'm not the only one this has happened to and during the last 48 hrs. The other yelper also purchased a groupon and was ignored with no return phone calls. Why do these businesses and individuals working at these places offer and agree to place their services on Groupon and yet they don't want to fulfill the offer THEY ADVERTISED!!?? I've already experienced this with another business owner who actually admitted they didn't want

I purchased a Groupon a couple weeks ago for 2 Microdermabrasion facials.
I have called several times this week. Nobody ever answers and so I left voicemails. I left my name, phone number, service I was requesting, and dates I was available.
No one ever returned my call !!!
I requested a refund from Groupon.
Very disappointed.

I came to Gem Day spa because I had a Groupon! The place was nice enough to accept my coupon even though it had already expired. Compared to other facials I have been to, I really like this because Holly was explaining what she was doing and why. She constantly asked how it felt to make sure I wasn't in any discomfort. I also liked how all the products she used on my face was natural! I would definitely come back!
The only downside was that they are extremely hard to contact/ make reservations! I tried calling them 5 times and yet no one picked up.

I was ATTEMPTING to book a spa appointment for my wife in a couple weeks, but I moved on to another spa in the area that actually takes their business and clients seriously.
I have made at LEAST 20 calls over the last week to this place and have gotten 1 call back which went to voicemail, (becuase it wasn't at the time I asked to be called so I would be available) to confirm what I wanted and she messed up the time and the date.
This place is a joke and it really makes me wonder where the owner, or at least a manager, is in all of this.
Ridiculously unprofessional...
