Restland Memorial Park Association was founded in 1932 by the Dowd and Kanengieser Families, who managed the park for a decade; and the Kanengieser family managed the property until 1997. The wooded grounds provide a breathtaking and peaceful place for reflection and prayer.
In addition to the natural beauty of its grounds, Restland has the magnificent St. Giles Chapel as its crowning jewel, built in 1937 as an authentic replica of its namesake 12th century church in Stokes Poges, England. The poem, "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" was completed by the poet Thomas Gray in 1750, in the churchyard next to the original St. Giles Parish Church in Stokes Poges, England.

Services
At Restland Memorial Park, we have built our reputation one family at a time. We value your trust, so we pledge to provide you with the peace of mind that comes from working with representatives who understand the challenges of end-of-life planning. We assist you with care and compassion in making these decisions, whether you are planning for the future or need to make immediate arrangements.
The majestic, medieval St. Giles Chapel serves as the centerpiece with its structural and landscape features inside Restland Memorial Park. St. Giles Chapel offers a wide array of meaningful ways to permanently and reverently memorialize the life of a departed loved one. There are many ways to honor a life well lived.
The loss of a loved one is never easy. With the combined experience of several hundred years of cemetery service in the profession, we know firsthand how difficult making cemetery arrangements can be. Undeniably, discussing cemetery and funeral arrangements in advance, and advising family members of your wishes, lessens the burden of questions and making decisions at the time of immediate need.
Meaningful memorialization of a loved one's passing can transform, heal, and comfort us. It highlights our loved ones' sacrifices, reminds us of the things that they value, and inspires us with their life stories. Have the Talk of a Lifetime, a program created by The Funeral and Memorial Information Council, was designed to help families have meaningful conversations about the things that matter most in their lives.
We encourage you to get in touch with a cemetery in addition to a funeral home or a mortuary. We can help you arrange and plan for all the details following a funeral service. Pre-planning and pre-payment will protect you from the rising cost of prices, and it will not be a financial burden on your loved ones.

I want to call out Jennifer Hannon who went above and beyond, when i lost my step dad. She helped the grieving process by listening and asking about him. Her concern for making sure the memorial items were perfect was comfoting. She captured him and made sure that his meneory will live on. She is a true asset to Restland.

Beautiful cemetary, grounds, and mausoleums. Chapel is very nice too. But if it's a hot day over 80 degrees, do NOT host the eulogy or service in the large main chapel. There is absolutely no air conditioning and absolutely no ventilation. I saw someone almost pass out from heat stroke while giving a eulogy due to this. It was absolutely scary and I thought an ambulance would need to be called.
Everyone was uncomfortable and sweating profusely. You're better off having it in an air conditioned church or even outside. I'm knocking 2 stars off for that.

We went to Restland Memorial last week to find the graves of some of my relatives. The lady who worked there was working very hard because they were having two funerals that morning, which were about to start. She still took the time to look up the names of the people we were looking for, and helped us know which parts of the cemetery they were located in. After a few minutes of our looking for the first set of people, she came out to us and wanted to make sure we were able to find who we were looking for.
