Our full scope optometric practice extends beyond basic vision exams - we screen for ocular diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration at every eye exam.
Additionally, we treat and manage eye injuries, infections, and foreign bodies; as well as provide specialty contact lens fittings for conditions such as keratoconus, high astigmatism, and post-surgical corneas. We are an independent optometry practice located in Montrose, Colorado. Our clinic has been serving Montrose and the surrounding area for over 40 years. Dr. Abraham Wilson and Dr. Matthew Lisenby are proud to offer the high quality family eye care that has been the standard for many years. Our mission is to provide our patients with personal, professional eye care services, and quality optical products.
Unlike the rest of our body, the eyes rarely hurt when something is wrong. Eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and conditions caused by diabetes and high blood pressure usually present with no visual symptoms in the early stages. Overtime, though, they can cause permanent damage to our eyes.

When you are new to our office, we put in the effort to provide you with a positive and comforting experience. Cataracts are a leading cause of vision issues for people over 40 and are one of the main causes of blindness. A cataract is a clouding of the eye, specifically in the eye's lens behind the pupil, caused by proteins clumping together. There are different kinds of cataracts, and they can have different causes.
The field of optometry changes quickly, and now many more patients are able to enjoy the flexibility of wearing contact lenses to correct their vision. Contact lens exams include tests that are not always performed in regular eye exams, so if you are considering contact lenses, be sure to let us know when you schedule your exam.

Caring, efficient and professional. Dr Lisenby is fantastic and thorough. He takes all the time you need to explain things . They will also get you right in should you have an eye emergency.
The front office staff is welcoming and helpful ( a rare thing in offices today!) .

We arrived, read the sign, started back to our vehicle to call, and a nice young lady came out, asked if we had an appointment. We went in, she checked our temp and we were waited on immediately, even though we were early. Tara provided me a very wonderful and professional experience. Picked out the frames, and I must say Vista Vision had a great selection of frames. This was the best experience I have ever had, compared to past experiences, in Grand Junction.
