I was shocked when I saw my friend's bill for an undersized recliner (she's too big for it at 5-3"!) She paid more than $500 for a single month's rental. Is that fair, or is that taking advantage of people in medical distress?

This will be my second time going in where the person who's assisting me doesn't work there.... and for some reason the guy in the back who does work there didn't have time to come out and assist me I stood there for about 10 minutes while his wife and him talked in the back . So his wife and I just had to agree on a random price. Then come to find out the product has a hole in the bag and scratches and little black spots all over it. We have purchased a number of things throughout the years for my grandmother, including footwear, a walker, grab bars, and various smaller items like wipes. We've never had any issues. The staff was always nice, and there are multiple staff members who Russian speakers, which was a plus for us.

I called their office today to get information on a medical device. When the lady (who didn't give her name) answered the phone, I asked if you had hybrid rollators and she said what? No we don't have that and hung up the phone. I called back thinking I got disconnected and when she answered again I said that I must have got disconnected but I'm trying to find out if you have any type of rollators. We had to rent two wheelchairs for a December 2016 wedding in downtown DC, and this place was recommended to me by a friend. Everyone knows that weddings are stressful, so it was great that BW was easy to work with. We visited the store to make the rental reservation (pretty convenient location if you are in the Rockville/Silver Spring/North Bethesda corridor) and worked with Max to arrange drop off times for the wheelchairs. They coordinated with the hotel, and everything worked out without a hitch. Recommended.

I rented a medical recliner chair to use while recovering from a bilateral mastectomy. I am so happy I found Bw Surgical Supply. Their prices were extremely competitive, and i loved that I could start my rental at one week and then have the first week's payment credited to my account if I decided at the end of the first week that I wanted to extend the rental. The individual I worked with, Max, was extremely responsive to my questions. The recliner I received was in absolutely pristine condition and delivery went off without a hitch. I had a great customer service experience. I worked only with Ophelia. I felt she was experienced, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I was having a difficult time working with the insurance and doctors office to get my compression stockings. It was honestly a breath of fresh air from the moment we first spoke. it was obvious she had dealt with my particular insurance before and she quickly took over and worked hard to make sure I was taken care of.

BW Surgical Supply of Keningston, MD has to be the most unscrupulous business in the Metro area. Even after the Management was notified and admitted that the reservation clerk did not disclose all the terms of renting equipment, neither verbal nor written, they have chosen to be cheats and not to issue a refund for the weeks their equipment was returned and not used.

The unethical way the Manager runs his business is applauding and is certainly not deserving of support from the community, especially in the health care industry.

LOSING MY WHEELS:

I am not sure this company even deserves a single star. My fiancé and I did our research and decided to rent a wheelchair for my 85 year old grandmother through BW Surgical. We arrived on Saturday morning and right off the bat the office the manager came from the back room looking dazed and not all together. Hangover? High? Tired? We aren't sure.
