In addition, we provide mutual aid to the United States Forest Service in the extreme western part of our district in the Mount Herman area.
Our firefighters are always ready - day or night - dedicated to serving the citizens of our communities and beyond with character, connection, and a commitment to excellence. Whether a medical aid, fire, natural disaster, or other calls for service, our firefighters come highly trained and knowledgeable to handle your emergency.
We will accomplish our mission through a progressive and professional system of personnel development, public education, fire suppression, code enforcement, medical services, and rescue skills. We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at our command to provide a service deemed excellent by our citizens.
We utilize a community approach to reducing the loss of life and property by assessing the risk posed to our district. We identify steps at a community level to reduce the risk and minimize the event's severity to our citizens and their property. Current areas we have identified are public education, code enforcement, wildfire mitigation, and numerous other emerging topics.

Please be aware that the ambulance service does not contract with most insurance companies, so expect a very big bill if you use this service. Serious sticker shock!

I had a dryer catch on fire one winter. They were "johnny on the spot" and checked my walls for hidden fire spots. I got first class service! Also, they were very nice and polite with me. They brought both trucks not knowing how bad the fire was when I called to be safe since I live the pine forest area of Woodmoor. I love these guys, they volunteer to help in the community also.
