Lazy Llama Campground
Explore the natural beauty of the Tennessee Valley in a pastoral farm setting and enjoy the beauty & grace of llamas. We are family owned and operated. Carolyn and I are both educators. Carolyn is a local artist and continues to be a high school art teacher. We invite you to stay at our campground where you can experience llamas & other unique animals.

We have raised llamas for over 21 years now. We purchased a dilapidated 50 year-old mobile home park next to our farm and "re-purposed" it into a quaint little 34-site campground. We were able to keep the numerous 50 year-old maple trees for shade throughout the park and blended it with our 19 acre llama farm with woods & pastures.
Services
GPS sometimes wants to bring you in the "back way." Whether you are arriving from 11E/321 North or South, you should only turn directly on Chuckey Ruritan Road, South. DO NOT TAKE CHUCKEY HIGHWAY OR FAULKNER ROAD. Chuckey Highway will take you to Chuckey Ruritan Road, South, but it is the back way.
Bring the leash. Pets must be kept on leashes no longer than 6-8 feet when outside their owners' campers. Do not leave a pet unattended. Pet enclosures are only allowed for short term campers as long as owners are near the pets. Do not allow your dogs to poop or pee inside the camping site. We have plenty of green space to walk your dogs.
If you wish to stay an additional day or delay your departure, please check with the office to see if incoming reservations have been assigned to your site. If temperature falls below freezing, water may be turned on only to fill camper water reservoir. Golf Carts are allowable but must be registered with office & operators must have a drivers license.
Campsite #3 is one of our Standard sites with measurements 23' wide x 65' long. It is near the office and Llama Store. It is shaded at different times of the day based on the season. Campsite #3 is appropriate for travel trailers up to 25'. This site is also metered for monthly stays. Campsite #4 is one of our Standard sites with measurements 24' wide x 65' long.

Very quite, super polite, over all awesome getaway! The Llama farm is very well kept, and super cute. The Llama hay ride on Saturdays is a must! Jerry and his wife ( the owners) take great pride and care in what they are doing and it shows. We had spot 31 at the top of the hill( great for cardio) and even better for the views of the surrounding area and of course the fur babies! We only live an hour away and are sure to make a return trip!

My husband and I love Lazy Llama Campground. Jerry and Carolyn are wonderful. We enjoyed the camping, Carolyn's Workshop introduction based on what can be made with Llama yarn, and the weaving machines. Jerry took us on a tour of the farm and introduced us to their beloved Llama family. We are looking forward to camping at Lazy Llama Campground next year. Patricia & Maurice Valois

We camped over the Labor Day weekend. The campground is very clean and quiet. The owners and staff are very accommodating and kind. We loved watching our children play in the grassy area across from our camper.… They thoroughly enjoyed checking on the chickens and the garden. It was a hilight to watch for the llamas, goats, and donkeys to fill the field. The llama limo wagon ride was the cherry on top. We learned interesting history of the area and had the opportunity to love on the llamas. This has become a favorite campground for me!! You will not be disappointed!

Great little park. Just far enough away from everything but still access to grocery stores.
Big Rig friendly but need to get directions from the park. Your GPS will betray you on this one.
The owners are very nice.
Llamas, donkeys, goats, chickens, and a miniature horse.
We would have provided a 5 star rating however the grounds keepers ( not the owner) repeatedly sprayed cut grass on the side of our rig after politely asking them to be more aware.

This is an amazing place. Just finished the llama hike and it was GREAT!! Loved petting all the sweet llamas and the babies are so cute. The Campground is very nice, clean and with some easy pull through sites. The llamas were right in front of our RV when we arrived. They are also just about finished with a beautiful home that will be on Airbnb. Jerry and Carolyn are the nicest people and loved sharing stories of the farm. I would highly recommend you plan a visit but book early to ensure availability.

Beautiful campground that is well taken care of. We stayed a total of 4 mos. Jerry is very warm, friendly and hard worker. The sites are pretty big and can accommodate any rig. Loved seeing the Llamas roam the hillside and will miss hearing the donkey talk! Mr. Bill and Miss Kelly are a sweet couple! They help out Jerry with the campground. Hope we get to return while possibly building a home there. Tim&Linda Stehlik. Amenities: laundry for decent price; WiFi adjecent ball field to let your dog roam (when no baseball going on); wagonrides on Sat. to see the Llamas. veggie garden to pick from.

We had such a fun time this weekend. It rained us out to see the llamas but the office was going to make other opportunities for us to visit them. We decided to wait until the next time when we brings the kids.… Everyone was so polite on the phone and in person. It was super easy to book our trip and we loved seeing the llamas, goats and donkeys so close to us. Looking forward to a time when we can enjoy the garden and chicken coop! Very clean, quiet and perfect for a low key weekend with just sitting around a enjoying the peace.

Lazy Llama is a wonderful, relaxing retreat. The sites are meticulously maintained. The hosts/owners are amazing! They were attentive, kind and accommodating. The park's llama store has lots of treasures for your shopping fix; yarn, stuffed llamas, home decor, etc. and Mrs. Carolyn spins yarn from her llama's fiber right there instore! The campground has a laundry house, but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi was above average, even at our site at the back. Access to fresh eggs from the chicken house and veggies from the camper's garden are a pleasant bonus.
We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely

What a wonderful rv park! It is kept very clean and is extremely quiet in the evenings. The owners are very friendly and have a garden that they invite you to pick your own vegetables for free. You can also visit with the llamas, goats and mini horse. So much fun!

Wonderful RV park with extended stay sites. Jerry and his wife have gone to great lengths to make the Lazy Llama a great place to stay, especially those people who love animals and gardening. Aside from the lovely gift shop and brand new laundromat/shower building, theater is a garden in which campers can pick fresh veggies, chickens that provide fresh eggs (first come, first served), a donkey, miniature horses, and lots of llamas! In addition to all of that, Jerry has run fibre optic throughout the park. I highly recommend the Lazy Llama Campground!

My husband and I spent a relaxing week at this Campground. Spacious sites for a full hookup park, lots of old shade trees throughout, decent lighting, new laundromat, large green space to walk our dogs, community garden and it is adjacent to a Llama farm owned by same wonderful people as campground. Special activities were offered to campers to educate them on and interact with the Llama's. On our visit we took a hayride through their Llama farm and got to meet not only their adult Llama's but 9 babies too! On another day we took a hike through the farm and campground with our own Llama while being

This was an overnight stay on a roadtrip for us. Wow! Loved it. The trees, the animals, and so many fireflies at night-- beautiful! It was calm and quiet. I was lucky to get site 30 at the top of the hill with a wonderful view. The site is level and full hookups. I definitely recommend it and will stay again if I come through here again. The owners were friendly. If you're looking for a calm peaceful spot, this is it.

The Lazy Llama Campground has been a very fun, interesting, and friendly place to camp. Jerry and Carolyn were exceptional hosts. They were very friendly and wanted to be sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our time in the campground and surrounding area. Jerry directed us to several different sights to see and his suggestions were spot on. My husband and I took the spinning class and we thoroughly enjoyed it and learned so much from Carolyn. The llamas were awesome! We took the hayride and were able to get up close to the llamas to pet them and learn about them. They are so sweet and fun to be

A hidden gem... I have been rv'ing for over 20 years and I can honestly say that this is one of (if not the best) best campgrounds we have ever stayed in. Not only are are the owners Jerry and Carolyn two of the finest, most gracious people you will ever meet, but the people staying here are super nice!! I am amazed at this place. We came for three days, was going to stay a week and just paid for a month!! It is that nice.. If you are within 100 mile of here don't miss it.. It is worth the trip. Quiet and peaceful place with plenty of stores and things to do minutes away...

We are a little hesitant to write comments on the Lazy Llama campground primarily because we want to come back frequently and we are concerned that when the word gets out about this camp finding an empty site is going to be extremely difficult. Jerry and Carolyn are two of the most gracious individuals we have ever met. Friendly, knowledgeable, generous people only begins to describe the owners of Lazy Llama. If Jerry is not working on the campground he is volunteering to support the local children baseball games or the local theatre and working the Llama farm. I do not
