You can't pinpoint the underlying cause of your anxiety - it's paralyzing bodily sensations that stop you from moving forward. It's time to let them go so that you can enjoy lasting change and experience more in life, like connecting with others more freely and becoming a source of encouragement for them.
Overcoming negative thoughts and perceptions can lead to a clear mind and a strong sense of purpose. Carl Jung, the great psychoanalyst, once stated there are three elements for lasting change and growth: insight, courage, and endurance. Wherever you are on your journey for growth and change, the life you want is within reach.

The constant sleepless nights, because you keep replaying every decision you made throughout the day, wondering what others are thinking and saying about you. The sound of the dreaded alarm signaling the start of another day, but you just want to stay in bed and shut out the rest of the world. Conflicts in your relationships, because no one seems to understand the challenges you face.
And even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help working through some of life's more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow.
In general, therapy works to eliminate symptoms of anxiety by helping you to identify the thoughts, beliefs, and situations that evoke an anxious or stress-inducing response. You can learn coping skills such as guided relaxation techniques, breathing techniques, and the use of cue words that can be used anywhere to calm your body.
Physical aches and pains for which you can't pinpoint the cause - that don't respond to regular treatments? In partnership with a therapist, you can more easily figure out the root cause of your depressed mood. Learning to change your internal dialog and use a variety of other coping skills will open the way for greater happiness and joy.
There is the potential to get trapped in grief if we don't learn to embrace the loss and integrate it into our lives. By gently allowing acceptance to emerge, we can allow ourselves to be comforted by our memories. My approach as a therapist is to "hold space" with compassion and acceptance as you move through these tasks at your own pace.

Ellis is an exceptional therapist. He's highly skilled, very professional, warm, empathetic, compassionate, and absolutely dedicated to giving his all to his clients. As a fellow clinician I have referred clients to Ellis and have found that clients benefit from Ellis' therapeutic approach, thoughtful interventions and care. When I need to refer to other psychotherapy practices, Ellis is always at the top of my list. I highly recommend Ellis Hulse, LCSW as he's an amazing therapist and person.

Working with Ellis has made such a positive difference in my life. His approach to achieving good mental health, particularly through teaching me the Focusing technique, really helped me feel more balanced in both mind and body. Highly recommend him to anyone seeking a skillful listener who is also genuinely committed to supporting his client's overall well-being.
