Dr. Moghissi is a board certified Family Physician in Fairfax, Virginia and practices family, aesthetic and ancestral medicine. The rewards of the patient-doctor relationship are based on open communication. I am a very good listener and explainer. I work to understand the context of my patients' experiences so the advice I provide is personal and clear. My goal is through working together my patients will have a better understanding of their health and healthy behaviors which include the treatment options I recommend.
Mrs. Gokturk lives in Virginia with her family and enjoys both international and local travel. Mrs. Gokturk, a board-certified nurse practitioner, received her nursing degree from George Mason University in 1990 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University in 1993 where she graduated number one in her class with honors and received the Dean's award.
People frequently come in to see me with vexing problems that cause them to be miserable, and cause me to scratch my head wondering what could be going on. I continue to read a lot of journals, listen to many webinars and podcasts, and go to conferences to expand my knowledge. I contract with some specialty labs to be able to offer tests that are not commonly available in other offices.

I went to this doctor for TMJ treatment with botox, which is a medical not cosmetic procedure. Unfortunately, the doctor missed the correct insertion point, and paralyzed a different muscle-- I have been unable to smile since. I am not saying this in a dramatic way, I LITERALLY cannot life the corners of my mouth. I called another doctor who specializes in this type of treatment and he informed me that this only happens when the wrong muscle is hit. I have been seeing Dr Moghissi since the end of last year and I have nothing but praises for her. Dr Moghissi is a type of doctor that is not tied or indebted to Pharmaceutical companies... She only prescribes meds if you need them. She definitely recommends Low Carb diet because she believes in this type of nutrition and is on it herself! ... which I must add is also saving my life! ...God knows we all need to stay away from all the sugar and Carbs that are making us obese and sick....The number of Diabetics in this country is staggering! ....

I have never had a doctor spend as much time talking with me, and explaining things to me, as Dr. Moghissi does. I found her to be very friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. And her staff are all friendly, and knowledgeable as well. Great office, great doctor, great staff. What more could you ask for?
