Kevin Kennedy has been in the upholstery business for more than 40+ years. He began his career at Ruby's in Waltham where he was tutored by European Masters. Kevin picked up extremely fast and in a few years he was considered a professional himself. His first store was Kennedy's Upholstery in Wellesley.

Our slip covers are "custom tailored" and we offer pick up and delivery. These are not "ready made" we treat our slip covered jobs just like our Upholstery Jobs with the same attention to detail and even faster turnaround times. Reupholstering is an investment and because of that it is important to choose the right fabric. We carry Kravet fabrics as well as their designer lines, Lee Jofa, Brunschwig and Fils, GP & J Baker, and Ralph Lauren. We also carry Greenhouse Fabrics and have a large number of sample books for you to peruse.
Do i need a chair cushion? Chair cushions are usually any cushion under 26 in length. Perfect for anything from a small club chairs, to a large wing chair chair and anything in between. It may seem obvious, but identifying your piece will determine the type of cushions you need to get. Just because you have a sofa doesn't mean you need sofa cushions!

First time visiting the store today. I needed to buy some Ultra Foam padding to send an expensive Turntable to an expert in Florida. I also happened to have 2 chair cushions that need to have the fabric replaced. So I went in and met Kevin, his coworker was busy with another customer, I told him what I was looking for and why I needed it. He told me I will take care of you. So nice and friendly. He went down to the shop and came up with a whole bunch of scrap foam, super thick and luxurious. Awesome stuff to protect the fragile Turntable on it's journey to Florida. And the chair pads, he told me

Having made the mistake of buying an "affordable" sofa, the buttons are already falling off. I called here in the morning to ask if this small repair could be handled, walked in ten minutes later, and had a repaired cushion in barely two minutes. I will absolutely be back for bigger projects; service was so friendly and efficient.
